Forty students from Downey, Warren, St. John Bosco and St. Joseph’s high schools spent the past weekend at Camp Whittle near Big Bear for Pathfinders, a leadership retreat put on by Downey Los Amigos Kiwanis. Students participated in physical and non-physical activities meant to teach them how to become better leaders. Students also discussed ethics, morals, and how to become better teammates, even with people with different personality traits. Pathfinders is volunteer-driven and made possible by donations. Students interested in attending Pathfinders next year should contact their activities director.
