July Coffee Morning

What an enjoyable July coffee morning held at the Three Horseshoes in Yaxley. It was a lovely hot day and 44 members turned up and were able to sit out in the garden and enjoy coffee in the sun. Thanks to Tina for organising the raffle & to Muriel & Keith Martin for selling the tickets. Joy greeted & signed in everyone & handed out name badges. Dennis did a great job of serving drinks & biscuits as well as looking after everyone.

It really was the perfect venue & several members stayed and enjoyed a lovely lunch. Thank you to Verity Woodman who was our host from the Three Horseshoes & looked after us so well. Verity has also agreed to have a Parkinson's collection tin on the bar for us

Above, Our Host and fabulous quizmaster Garry Brinn who always delivers a professional and enjoyable quiz.

Alison Brinn & David Long teamed up again to be our scorers

For the first time at our quiz nights we supplied a buffet cooked and delivered by committee members Tina & Joy. As this was a trial we were keen to get feedback about the buffet. Everybody was very complimentary about the great assortment and quantity of food so well done to the buffet girls it was delicious, you've both got the job for next time!!!

Pictured left Committee members Tina & Joy There was 5 superb raffle prizes put together by Tina and lots of raffle tickets were sold by Sue & Alan.

Thanks to everyone who attended and helped with organising the event, and not forgetting Ken & the committee who helped set up and pack away. Also thanks to Aaron and his staff at the Parkway club for making it possible for our event booking. It really was a fantastic night and I’ve already had bookings for the next quiz night on August 31st.
