Important Information

Application: - Only one community stall application is permitted per individual, family, organisation or business unless a variation is agreed to by the event organisers. - Any offer to an applicant to run a stall at the event is conditional upon full payment of the fee. - Successful applicants will be notified and invoiced on Wednesday, 14 February 2018. - Unsuccessful applicants will be notified, added to the waiting list and informed if a stall site becomes available.

Operating a Stall:

- Operating hours are from 9am – 5pm Saturday, 24 and 10am – 4pm Sunday, 25 March 2018. Stalls are not allowed to operate before or after these hours. - A constructed stall is included in your payment. Stallholders must not go outside their stall area. All signage and activity must be kept in this area:

o 3m x 6m for information, food, watermelon, pineapple ice cream and fresh drinking coconut stall.

o 3m x 3m for a not-for-profit and craft stall. - Village stallholders at Pasifika Festival 2018 must sell authentic Pacific Island products. This refers to the 11 cultures represented as villages at the festival (i.e. , , , Hawai’i, , , , , , and ). Stallholders that have applied for a village stall must only sell products that are customary and authentic to that village. - Stallholders are responsible for all cash handled at their site during the course of the event. This includes ensuring that they have an adequate float

Health and safety:

- Only a maximum number of six people are allowed inside a 3m x 3m stall site at any one time. A maximum of 10 people are allowed inside a 3m x 6m or 6m x 3m stall site at any one time. - NO children under the age of 14 are allowed in the food stall at all times. - Stallholders selling or playing music must be considerate of other stallholders by controlling the volume level of music played.

Food Safety:

- All food stalls need to ensure they meet the minimum hygiene requirements provided by Council to guarantee that the food you prepare and sell is safe and suitable for your customers. - Environmental Health Officers will be inspecting all food stalls at the event and issue the Temporary Food Stall Licence for the duration of the event. Please note: your food stall will not be allowed to trade until Environmental Health Officers issue you the Temporary Food Stall Licence. - Included in the food stall application fee is a $25 fee that will cover the cost of the Environmental Health Officers. - All food stalls must have the following facilities:

o 1 x rubbish bin or container for general rubbish. o 1 x rubbish bin or container for liquid waste. o Tables for displaying, storing and preparing food. o Water container with a tap at the bottom. o A hand-wash area. This must be set up before you start to prepare/cook food, and include a basin and a supply of water, soap, paper towels and a bucket to collect wastewater.

o Flooring cover is recommended - to avoid any oil spillage onto the grass surfaces. Cardboard is not acceptable for floor covering purposes.

Electricity and power - Food stalls and information stalls will be allocated 2x10 amps (20 amps) power points. - Retail/craft/non-food stall fees do not include power. - You will need to supply your own extension leads and multi-boxes/plugs. These must be either new or tested by a registered electrician. (An electrical information form will be sent to you to fill in).

Compulsory biodegradable/compostable packaging

Here at ATEED we are continuing to aim for zero waste to landfill, so the use of biodegradable packaging at the event is compulsory and stallholders must only use biodegradable packaging from the approved range of products. The use of packaging outside this range is prohibited.

- Stallholders must purchase their biodegradable packaging from the approved supplier i.e. Gilmours Mount Roskill, Auckland. - Stall managers will be checking regularly to see if stallholders are using the approved range of products.

Sales Restrictions:

- Stallholders must not sell or promote any items that have an age restriction. No alcohol, tobacco or other restricted products are to be sold at the event. - Hawkers, street sellers, buskers or product give-aways are not permitted at the event unless they have been allocated and paid for a stall though the stall application process. Unauthorised vendors and product promotions will be removed from the event.
