AHA celebrates birthday with successful Give Day!! While our current Richfield campus has been home to Holy Angels since 1931, the school was initially founded in 1877 on Third Street North in Minneapolis. In honor of the 140th anniversary of the founding of Holy Angels, a small group of donors committed $140,000 in challenge funds to match all Annual Fund gifts made on or before November 9! More than 500 AHA Community members responded to the birthday match with gifts totaling 140YEARS over $150,000 through our Give Day effort, ensuring that the school qualified for the match. 1877 - 2017 Thank you again for everyone who supported AHA and our Give Day effort! Some of us were there both times.” Mollie also sent some school memories: As sophomores in 1951, finding snow on the window sill of our algebra classroom before class (we were mostly freshmen in the class), we formed it into a ball, threw it up to the ceiling, and then told our teacher when she arrived, “Sister, there is a leak up there somewhere.” A concerned Sister Mary Hugo called maintenance, thus delaying the start of class. Our favorite principal, Sister Constance Marie, decided that we did not need to wear uniforms at the beginning of our senior year. The result: many of us felt our wardrobes were sadly lacking. We asked our senior class president to talk with “Connie Mac” who understood Members of the class of ’54: Sitting, L to R: Mary Beth Beha Undem, Patty and revised her original dictum in October. Greetings from AHA Admissions We hosted a packed Open House in October, with record breaking numbers of families joining us for the evening. It was wonderful to see so many alumni returning with their 8th graders to check out all that Holy Angels offers, and see what’s new, what’s improved, and the tried and true things about AHA that remain the same — faith, service, and commitment to helping all students succeed! Many students and parents are visiting campus, and we invite YOU to come too.

FUN FACTS: In this year’s freshman class, we have three multi-generational families — grandmothers, moms and students who attended AHA. We also enrolled students from all over the metro area: 35 different schools and from 25 different neighborhoods. Seventy percent of our freshmen came from Catholic grade schools; the remaining 30% came from public and charter schools across the metro. Check the infographic to the right for more interesting facts about AHA! Want to talk? Meg Angevine, Admissions Officer, [email protected] or 612-798-0764
