HORAN is committed to improving the quality of life in the communities where our employees live and work. We have a responsibility to serve our regional community as a good corporate citizen and work to create strong communities that increase the economic vitality and quality of our neighborhoods.

To support our goal, HORAN is proud to offer scholarships to the employees and eligible family members of our clients. To date, HORAN has contributed $273,500 of scholarship support to 138 deserving students representing 65 client companies. HORAN is pleased to announce we offer scholarships for students attending , the , the , and Wright State University. Enclosed are scholarship applications for the following:

Scholarships’ Background : Jack and Elaine Horan Scholarship : Jack Horan (1919 –1996), who founded our company in 1948, was a great leader dedicated to hard work, honesty and integrity. Our company’s success is built on the principles for which Jack stood. The Jack and Elaine Horan Scholarship is our way of honoring Jack’s legacy.

HORAN Free Throw Scholarship : HORAN supports the Xavier University Men’s Basketball organization by providing scholarships for students. Our partnership with Xavier honors the principles of both organizations, specifically those of hard work, honesty and integrity.

Miller/Kreber Scholarship : Doug Miller, former Executive Vice President of HORAN, along with his wife Ann, are 1981 graduates of the University of Dayton. The Millers established the Miller/Kreber Scholarship to honor their parents and their parents’ commitment to education.

HORAN Miami University Scholarship : HORAN and Miami University share similar values and standards. Miami University has a rich history and excellent reputation in educating the leaders of tomorrow. HORAN is proud to offer scholarships to help continue this legacy.

HORAN Wright State Scholarship : As we continue our expansion into the Dayton market, HORAN has partnered with Wright State University. This scholarship honors the principles of both organizations, as well, specifically those of hard work, honesty and integrity.

All scholarship recipients are chosen by the universities and are based on academic merit and financial need. All of the requirements are listed on the enclosed applications. Forms can be copied and distributed or emailed to your employees as needed. THE JACK AND ELAINE HORAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI

Jack Horan was the founder and leader of HORAN for nearly 50 years. The HORAN Fund was established in his honor to provide $1,500 scholarship awards. This year, there are three (3) $1,500 awards.

To apply for these awards, a student must meet the following criteria: • Dependent of a current client of HORAN; and • Enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Cincinnati and completed at least one semester. • Note: An employee who is a full-time student and employed by a client of HORAN is also eligible to apply. (Dependent verification is not necessary.)
