From Oct 2000 – Apr 2002 I was in-house at Curious in Auckland starting as a Production Assistant & then Production Manager working on television commercials + music videos. I spent the next couple of years in London working initially as an in-house Production Manager for Mustard Films & then freelance for Bliss, Godman, Rose Hackney Barber & Cowboy Films as a Production Manager.

Upon my return home in 2004 I have continued freelancing as a Producer + Production Manager for a variety of companies on numerous campaigns.

I’ve shot in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, London, Manchester, Blackpool, Newcastle, Rarotonga & Fiji as well as all over New Zealand and liaised with line production companies & agencies from all over the world including South Africa, South America, Hungary, Slovenia, Germany, Japan, USA & Dubai.

My first feature film as a Producer, written by Sophie Henderson & directed by Curtis Vowell was screened in the Break Through Programme at the 37 South Market/MIFF, at the New Zealand International Film Festival in 2013 and then in January 2014, at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam. I have since Production Managed ‘Born to Dance’, Line Produced ‘Hunt for the Wilderpeople’, ‘The Breaker Upperers’ and ‘Baby, Done’. The short film, ‘Ani’, directed by Josephine Stewart-Te Whiu recently had it’s World Premiere at the 69th Berlinale.

A love of cinema, photography, travel + people drives my desire to make films but deeper than that is a curiosity about the stories of New Zealanders & our unique struggles with identity, culture & place – both in Aotearoa and the world.
