Robbie and Sarah say they're on top of the world as they toast their future together. Love is in the air at 360Q Romance is all around at Queenscliff restaurant 360Q with two wedding proposals taking place there in one week - and one couple travelling all the way from New Zealand! Auckland local Robbie Evans planned a long weekend to Melbourne with fiance Sarah White with a secret mission to pop the question. Robbie is an old travelling buddy of 360Q owner Barry Iddles and when Robbie said he wanted to propose somewhere in Queenscliff, Barry suggested the tower with its magnificent 360-degree views across the marina, and the township. "As soon as we got up to the top of the tower Robbie dropped the knee and asked me," she said. "I didn't expect it at all. Robbie had jokingly said I would have to wait eight years so when it all happened I was like 'Are you serious?' He went to a lot of effort - he even asked my dad a few days before." For the record, Sarah said, "Yes, definitely!" 360Q's front of house manager Dave Mash delivered champagne to the beaming couple and they had lunch at the restaurant before calling friends and family with the news. "I knew the tower would be the perfect spot," said Barry. "We have had several receptions in our function space and the tower is great for wedding photos. It's a top location, literally. There's obviously something about 360Q that makes people feel romantic!" The 360Q team offers formal sit-down or cocktail style wedding receptions with full catering from $95pp. Call 5257 4200 or email [email protected] to enquire.

Love one another and you will be happy. It's as simple and as difficult as that. ~ Michael Leunig.

After a hugely successful event in 2016 that saw us celebrate 20 years of QMF, we're back once again and excitement is building as we put the final pieces together ahead of the last weekend in November for our 21st Festival. We're very excited to welcome such an amazing program this year. Once again we've managed to pull together a diverse bunch of artists to keep everyone entertained over the Festival weekend. From big names like Bernard Fanning & Xavier Rudd to emerging stars like Stella Donnelly & The Teskey , we've got something for everyone. I will always encourage people to take a punt at QMF, and go and see something completely new. There's so much amazing talent on offer right throughout the program I'm sure you'll find your new favourite artist. In 2017 we present another stellar bunch of international guest artists. Another diverse bunch of acts from across the globe. Canada will be represented by new folk superstars The East Pointers, Alt-Country sweetheart Lindi Ortega & Irish born folk balladeer Irish Mythen. Hailing from the USA is Brasshouse trio and Youtube sensations Too Many Zooz, Grammy Award winning Blues legend Jon Cleary and his Absolute Monster Gentlemen. Gabriel Garzon-Montano, Ron Artist II (Hawaii) and Travis Bowlin also join us from the US. Due to popular demand we've added extra venues throughout the town this year. The Town Hall will replace the Vue Grand, and we welcome aboard the Brewhouse running performances in their upstairs bar. The Anglican Church (corner Hobson & Mercer) will also be a welcome addition to the QMF program with intimate performances over the weekend. As always there's plenty for the Families in the Kids Quarter area. Lots of activities, performances, carnival rides etc all on offer. Make sure you ride the Blues Train over the QMF weekend. We're very excited to be partnering up with Hugo once again. Yoga is on at the Monahan Centre Sat & Sun mornings with 2 sessions from 8am. Many thanks to our 400+ Volunteers, our Board, Staff, Artists, Sponsors & Partners, and most of all our Community. Queenscliff is what makes this weekend so special! I'm constantly asked who's headlining the Festival this year … my answer is always QUEENSCLIFF! See you soon Andrew Orvis, Festival Director Andrew’s Top 10 Festival Acts Allysha Joy - Saturday Also performing on Friday Night with her band 30/70. Allysha has the most amazing voice. She will absolutely blow people away in the town hall in a stripped back intimate setting. Irish Mythen - Sunday Byron Bay Bluesfest Director Peter Noble raved about Irish after last years event, and if anyone knows what's good it's Peter. Great songs and story telling with a killer voice out of Ireland, via Canada. Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentlemen - Saturday & Sunday Full band mode on Saturday night, and solo mode on Sunday. Getting Jon to QMF has been a personal quest of mine for a number of years and I'm very excited it's finally happening. An absolute legend. Cool, funky blues & jazz from New Orleans with a killer band. Do not miss! Nai Palm - Sunday Nai has recently released her debut solo album, stepping out from Hiatus Kaiyote for this project. I'd have to say Hiatus are just about my favourite Australian band right now, so I'm very excited for Nai's new solo show. Soulful RnB tunes to get you started on Sunday. Stella Donnelly - Saturday & Sunday I booked early on in the year on a recommendation from someone I trust, without really hearing a lot of her stuff. Turns out she was the hit of this years Bigsound music conference, getting flogged on Triple J, and an absolute star on the rise. Great songs, and I'm told her banter is hilarious live. The Beatufiul Girls - Sunday Are back to QMF and to where it all began, performing their first 2 albums in full. I remember back in 2002 at QMF Dad took me in to the Vic Tavern to see this Beautiful Girls band we'd never heard of. Initially, we were surprised they weren't really beautiful girls at all, but very quickly I fell in love with their music. For me they were one of the first bands that really got me hooked on Aus music. The East Pointers - Friday, Saturday & Sunday Out of Prince Edward Island Canada, these guys are the new wave of traditional folk music. A really new and exciting twist on traditional style tunes. Great players, fantastic voices, and they're sure to start a dance party at QMF. They were the highlight of Port Fairy Folky a couple of years back. The Temper Trap - Sunday What a great way to finish off this years QMF in the Lighthouse Stage on Sunday arvo with these guys. Huge rock sounds and sing-a-long anthems from one of Australia's most loved modern band. The TeskeyBrothers Long story short, these guys were the first band I booked for this years festival, on a recommendation from my Dad who heard them on PBS whilst mowing his grass. 9 months later they're absolutely killing it! Awesome blues, soul tunes all the way from Melbourne. Performing all 3 days at QMF by overwhelming popular demand. Thanks Dad! Too Many Zooz I'm predicting these guys could be the hit of this years QMF. It's impossible to not smile, and dance, and go crazy when watching these guys live. Their Youtube clips busking in New York subways have gone viral with millions of views. Bring your dancing shoes Queenscliff!
