FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MARCH 14, 2018 Names 2017-18 All-Star Teams League Names First, Second, Third Teams, Honorable Mentions at Championship Banquet

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Hockey East Association announced its three 2017-18 all-star teams as voted by the league’s 11 head coaches ahead of the 34th Hockey East Championship, March 16 and 17 at the TD Garden in Boston.

The six Hockey East First Team All-Stars hail from just two different schools and include (Voorhees, N.J./Northeastern), defensemen Jacob Bryson (London, Ont./Providence) and Jeremy Davies (Sainte- Anne-de-Bellevue, Qué./Northeastern), and forwards Erik Foley (Mansfield, Mass./Providence), Adam Gaudette (Brain- tree, Mass./Northeastern), and Dylan Sikura (Aurora, Ont./Northeastern). Gaudette and Sikura were the lone unanimous selections to the first team.

Comprising Hockey East All-Star Second Team are goaltender Hayden Hawkey (Parker, Colo./Providence), a pair of defensemen in Dante Fabbro (New Westminster, B.C./Boston University) and Casey Fitzgerald (North Reading, Mass./ Boston College.), and forwards Bobo Carpenter (North Reading, Mass./Boston University), Maxim Letunov (Moscow, Russia/UConn), and Nolan Stevens (Sea Isle City, N.J./Northeastern).

Recognized as Hockey East All-Star Third Team members are goaltender Joseph Woll (St. Louis, Mo./Boston College), defensemen Michael Kim (Toronto, Ont./Boston College) and (Calgary, Alta./Massachusetts), and forwards Brett Seney (London, Ont./Merrimack), Brian Pinho (North Andover, Mass./Providence), and Jordan Greenway (Can- ton, N.Y./Boston University).

Also gaining acknowledgment from the league coaches are Hockey East All-Star Honorable Mentions in rookie netmind- er Jeremy Swayman (Anchorage, Alaska/Maine), defensemen Tommy Panico (Wall, N.J./UMass Lowell), Brandon Hickey (Leduc, Alta./Boston University) and Johnny Austin (St. Louis Park, Minn./UConn), and forwards Ross Colton (Robbinsville, N.J./Vermont), Shane Bowers (Halifax, N.S./Boston University), Spencer Naas (Minnetonka, Minn./UCo- nn) and Chase Pearson (Alpharetta, Ga./Maine).

The 26 All-Star honorees represent 10 of Hockey East’s 11 member institutions while 17 can be seen competing in the 34th Hockey East Tournament championship set to take place this weekend, Friday, March 16, and Saturday, March 17, at the TD Garden in Boston. No. 1 Boston College will square off with No. 4 Boston University Friday at 5 p.m., while No. 2 Northeastern and No. 3 Providence take the ice at 8 p.m. The winners advance to Saturday’s championship tilt at 7 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets online at Ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000.
