NOTICE TO PLAYERS

Play is governed by the , the 2021 NTPGA Rules of Play Card, the 2021 NTPGA Pace of Play Policy and the following Supplementary Rules of Play which apply to this . NOTE: Disregard any local rules found on the golf course scorecard.

1. FORMAT: 36-hole individual competition. Players will be re-paired according to score for the second round, with the low scores going last.

2. STARTING POINT: For the purpose of applying Rule 5.3a, the starting point for hole #1 is defined by the rope, green stakes & blue dots.

3. MARKERS: All contestants aged 50-64 and those attempting to qualify for the Senior PGA Professional Championship shall play from the PGA BLACK tee markers. Contestants aged 65-74 who are not attempting to qualify shall play from the PGA WHITE tee markers. Contestants aged 75 and older who are not attempting to qualify shall play from the club’s BRONZE tee markers.

4. OUT OF BOUNDS: Defined by the inside edge, golf course side, of (a) white stakes; (b) perimeter property fencing/fence posts/concrete & rock walls; (c) curbing of public roads; (d) water’s edge on the non-golf course side left of hole #9 fairway, left of the lake on hole #11 and right of the creek on hole #15.

5. DROPPING ZONE FOR RED AREA – HOLE #7: If a ball is in or it is known or virtually certain that a ball that has not been found is in the red penalty area during play of hole #7, the player may take relief under Rule 17.1, or, as an additional option, the player may drop a ball in the Dropping Zone under penalty of one stroke. The Dropping Zone is located on a forward tee.

6. RED PENALTY AREA WITH OPPOSITE SIDE RELIEF OPTION: None. See Item 2(b) on the 2021 NTPGA Local Rules.

7. GROUND UNDER REPAIR – PUTTING GREENS: The areas on the putting greens still recovering from the winter storm will be played as ground under repair. Line of play relief will be available only when the ball is on the putting green. NOTE: These areas on the putting green have not been marked with white lines/dots. Please seek out a NTPGA Rules Official with any questions.

8. TREE WELLS | MULCH & CHIPS: No free relief will be afforded from tree wells. Mulch and wood chips are loose impediments.

9. OBSTRUCTIONS (INCLUDING WINDMILL HOLE #12: The stone hole markers with numbering/plaques and all paved paths are considered obstructions. A wall adjacent to a cart path is considered part of the same obstruction. Free relief will not be granted from naturally worn maintenance paths. Additionally, the windmill and adjacent flowerbed on hole #12 are an immovable obstruction. No free relief for line of play.

10. EARTH CRACKS: Model Local Rule F-8 is in effect and modified for cracks in the ground in parts of the general area are ground under repair. The player may take relief under Rule 16.1b. BUT interference does not exist if the crack only interferes with the player’s stance.

11. TEMPORARY IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (TIO): Include tents and championship signage. NOTE: The championship hole signs for #1, #9, #10, and #18 are movable obstructions.

12. PLAYING TWO BALLS: When during play of a hole if a player is doubtful of his or her rights or procedure, the player may, without penalty, play a second ball in accordance with Rule 20.1c(3). The player MUST report the facts of the situation to the Committee before returning their scorecard. If the player fails to do so, he or she is disqualified.

13. PACE OF PLAY GUIDELINES: 4 hours and 12 minutes. Please see the posted NTPGA Pace of Play Chart (available on the starting tee). GENERAL INFORMATION

1. NATIONAL QUALIFYING SPOTS | TIES: There are four (4) qualifying spots and five (5) alternate spots into the 33rd Senior PGA Professional Championship. In addition, the champion of the Club Car Northern Texas Senior PGA Professional Championship will also receive a qualifying spot, assuming he has registered for the national event. In the event of a tie for first place and/or to determine the final qualifying spot(s) or alternate spot(s), a hole-by-hole will commence immediately following the completion of the final round.

2. LIVE SCORING | SCORING AREA: Each player’s scores will be recorded by NTPGA staff on hole #10 teeing area. The final groups will have riding scorers for hole-by-hole scoring during the second round. The scoring area is located inside the clubhouse in the 19th Hole, lower level of clubhouse adjacent to the golf shop. A player’s scorecard has been returned to the Committee when the player has exited the 19th Hole with both feet.

3. RESTROOM CODES | LUNCH: The on-course comfort station codes are 2022 (#6 tee) and 2029 (#15 tee). Complimentary lunch for all contestants and sponsors of the event will be served on Monday only. The lunch will be served inside the clubhouse from 11:30 AM until 3:30 PM.

4. SKINS GAME: All professionals will be eligible for the $750 Skins Game. The $750 Skins Game money will be allocated as follows; $375 for round one and $375 for round two. If no skins are won during round one, the skins money allocated for round one will be carried over to round two. If no skins are won during round two, the skins money allocated for round two will be added to the overall purse payout for the Championship.

5. FINAL ROUND PLAYER’S POOL: All professionals for round two of the Championship will be eligible for the Final Round Player’s Pool of up to $750. The five (5) lowest round two scores will be awarded Final Round Players Pool money. NOTE: A professional who earns Championship prize money is not eligible to earn Final Round Player’s Pool money.
