COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS ASSIGN FORWARD LIAM FOUDY TO TAXI SQUAD, FORWARD NATHAN GERBE TO AHL’S

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The have assigned forward Liam Foudy to the club’s taxi squad and forward Nathan Gerbe from the taxi squad to the Cleveland Monsters, the team’s affiliate, Blue Jackets General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Foudy, 20, has collected three assists, two minutes and a +3 plus/minus rating while playing in all 11 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He has recorded 0-4-4, two penalty minutes and is +4 in 13 career games with the club since making his NHL debut in 2019-20. The 6-2, 193-pound forward added 1-1-2 in 10 contests during the 2020 NHL playoffs.

Gerbe, 33, recorded an assist and two penalty minutes in his Blue Jackets season debut on January 23 vs. Tampa Bay. He has posted 62-87-149 with 196 penalty minutes in 427 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, and since making his NHL debut in 2008-09. He has tallied 4-7-11 and 24 penalty minutes in 33 career appearances with the Blue Jackets, including 4-6-10 and 22 penalty minutes in 30 games with the club in 2019-20.

The Oxford, Michigan native has added 63-106-169 and 187 penalty minutes in 196 career American Hockey League games. He collected 8-17-25 and 22 penalty minutes in 30 games with the Cleveland Monsters, the Blue Jackets’ AHL affiliate, in 2019-20.

The Blue Jackets return to action on Thursday when they host the Dallas Stars. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on FOX Sports Ohio and the FOX Sports Go app with coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the “Blue Jackets Live” pre-game show. It will also be broadcast on the Eldorado Gaming Scioto Downs Blue Jackets Radio Network.
