on July 1 Honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi marked the beginning of a new revolution in India– the DiGitaL Information Technology revolution, also called the Digital India.

While dedicating Digital India to the nation the Prime Min- inDia ister very rightly said “I dream of Digital India where the world looks to India for the Next Big Idea.” Launching The visionary that the Shri Modi is he also said “We need to understand this --- that’s the need of the hour. If we don’t , a revolution we will be left far behind the rest of the world”. The question today being asked is what exactly is Digital India ? To put it simply, the ambitious Rs 1.13 lakh crore Digital India project is aimed at opening up digital access for all In- dians through creation of a digital infrastructure that would make sure that government functions and services can be availed by all citizens across the nation.
