1. Meeting venue

Tuesday 19 April

The meeting venue will be next to Central Station, in the Beatrix buildling (Meetup) . Please follow the signs that read 'Jaarbeursplein'. The Beatrix building is the large building on the left hand side once you've left the Central Station. The main entrance is on the street side (Croezelaan). In the Beatrix building, a RIVM colleague will help you find the meeting room.

2. Accommodation

3. How to get from Schiphol airport to Utrecht When arriving at Amsterdam International Airport (Schiphol), you can take an intercity train to Utrecht Central Station (about 35 min). The intercity trains to Heerlen/Maastricht and stop at Utrecht Central Station, and these trains depart from Schiphol airport every 15 minutes until 9:16 pm. After 9:16 pm, the train departs every half hour. A single ticket costs €8.70. It is a 15-minute walk from Utrecht Central Station to the hotel. If you want to go to the hotel, make sure that when leaving Utrecht Central Station, you follow the direction ‘Utrecht Centraal’. You can buy a train ticket online, and print the e-ticket yourself. If you buy a single ticket at the train station, they will charge you an additional €1.-. Don't forget to check in with the single ticket bought at the train station.

4. Transportation from Utrecht to National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM)

Bus line 77 runs from Utrecht Central Station, via the centre of Utrecht, to Bilthoven. Bus stops in the centre are 'Neude' or 'St Janskerkhof'. Get off the bus at bus stop "Dr Letteplein" and from there it will be a 10 minutes walk to RIVM. A single ticket costs around €2; you can buy directly from the driver.

For participants who would like to commute by bike on Wednesday, bicycles can be arranged (depending on weather conditions). Marieke Hendriksen will be the guide. Please let us know if you are interested to commute by bicycle before Friday 15 April. Cycling from Utrecht to Bilthoven is safe, as there are cycling paths along the road. However, it can be pretty busy during rush hour.

If the weather is nice, we can meet on 20 April at 8 am in front of the bicycle shed at 'Smakkelaarsveld' close to Utrecht Central Station. There we can rent bicycles and cycle to RIVM. We will decide on Tuesday evening.

5. Procedure for visiting the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) To visit the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), you must be in possession of a valid proof of identity (passport, identity card for foreign nationals). Access to the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) will be denied to persons who are unable to provide valid proof of identity.

6. Meals Lunch and snacks/refreshments will be provided during the meeting. We will have dinner on Tuesday evening in restaurant Humphrey's (Stadhuisbrug 3, Utrecht) near the 'Oude Gracht'and the Dom tower.

On Wednesday evening, we reserved a table at Indonesian restaurant Selamat Makan (Voorstraat 100, Utrecht).

7. Transportation from GGD Amsterdam to Amsterdam Schiphol airport GGD Amsterdam is located in the city centre of Amsterdam. The easiest way to get to the airport is by public transport, and takes 25-30 minutes. 'Weesperplein' is the closest bus stop, a 2-minutes' walk from the GGD. Please visit www.9292ov.nl for the best connection. Taxis can be reserved, but will probably take much longer in rush hour (starting at 16:00h).

9. Utrecht

Utrecht is located in the centre of the Netherlands. It is a university city with a medieval city centre, and it has some beautiful canals. The Dom Tower is the largest church tower in the Netherlands with the highest viewpoint at 95m. The Utrecht canals with their wharves and wharf cellars are one-of-a-kind and now host some nice restaurants and bars. In april temperature is around 15˚C during the day.
