Object of the Game: Use your detective skills to solve the mystery and make an accusation -- who did it, with what and where! The first person to solve the crime wins!

Setting up the Game: 1. Separate all the cards into Who, What and Where. Shuffle each pile, keeping them face down. 2. Without looking, place one card from each pile facedown in a safe place. This is the crime, and stays secret until someone makes an accusation. 3. Shuffle the rest of the evidence cards together. Deal them out facedown so everyone has an equal number. Spare cards go face up in the middle for all to see. 4. Look at your evidence cards, and any face up in the middle. Any evidence cards you can see are innocent -- they can’t be in the crime pile. 5. Mark on your tracking sheet who is innocent without anybody seeing your paper. Keep your evidence cards in your hand at all times.

Game Play: 1. Looking at your tracking sheet, ask the player to your left about any two items you think might have been involved in the crime. 2. When a player asks you a question, check your evidence cards. If you have one or two of the evidence cards they asked about, show only one of them to the asker and no one else. Don’t tell them if you have more than one. Be honest! If you lie, the game won’t work. 3. If you have none of the evidence cards asked for, say “No, I can’t help you.” 4. If the first player on your left can’t help you, ask the next player about the same two items until someone shows you an evidence card, or you run out of people to ask. 5. If nobody has any of the items asked about, you know that one or both of those pieces of evidence is part of the crime and your turn is over. 6. Keep playing like this until you think you’ve figured out who did it, with what and where.

How to Accuse: 1. On your turn, say that you want to make an accusation. 2. Tell all the players what you think the crime was and then peak at the crime cards. If they match your accusation, you win! Flip the cards over to prove it. If they don’t match, you lose! Other players continue playing. You can no longer ask questions or accuse, but you must truthfully answer questions when asked.
