Club Activity This term, we attempted to run an 'All Wales Freshers Camp' which went with varying successes... one by one all the other Welsh Clubs dropped out, leaving us unable to aord our campsite, having to book a new one a very short notice and getting washed out by Storm Brian, who aectionately won 'Order of the Sheep', only the second inanimate object to win the award topped only by the AV minibus who gallantly tried to get us to Sheeld. We also ran Freshers Fair, holding a stall and bonre with Network and GGUK, giving free marshmallows, setting re to things to celebrate someone who tried to blow up parliament a long time before I was born, and we attempted to try and run our usual Sunday activites. This includes, but is not limited to: paracord, murder mystery (sorta) and Rally Craft Constructions. We welcomed lovely new members into our Aber SSAGO family and said goodbye to some Old Friends, and some of our members attended SSAGO Reunion. We've also got lots of new people into leadership positions across the districts in both organisations, and the committee have adapted to working together as a group :) Fresher Recruitment Went well, see above. Summer Some members attended SSAGO Reunion, where we got to meet old Aber SSAGO members, who were absolutely lovely. We got chatting about how the club restarted, talked to the people who restarted it, shared funny stories between us and generally had a good laugh and a small piss-up. The older members were lovely, bought us cupcakes on their day out into town, and apparently cannot wait until the next joint event (hopefully the 15th Birthday in 2019)! Upcoming Activities We're gonna go to Birmingham Christmas Market with a lot of other SSAGOS's such as Birmingham, Wolves and Oxford (apparently). This is gonna be the 25th November :) Suggestions When asked this question, I got the following responses: 'josh smells' 'aber is the best' club level survey and sale on signup and event registration online payments for clum transport to rallies and such Quote "I'm not used to having shit shoved in my mouth" Clubs reports for 90s Rally (November 2017) Bangor University Guides and Scouts Committee Alexandria Jackson (Scout Liaison) Ben Exton (Chair) Eleanor Cumming s (Guide Liaison) Emma Horan (Social Secretary) Kate Grimshaw (Secretary) Louise Preston (Treasurer) Mich Leecy (SSAGO Liaison ) Sabrina Marshall (Quarterm aster) Verity Shaw (Guide Liaison)

Club Activity Bangor BUGS have been up to a range of dierent activities this term including a night hike, paracord skills, indoor climbing, a cinema trip to see Thor Ragnarok and even a murder mystery themed Halloween party! We've had our usual and successful nd a role night to pair up volunteers with local guiding and units and our freshers camp which was held and maintained throughout Storm Doris! Fresher Recruitment From our recruitment process, namely serendipity, we have gained and maintained around 10 new freshers! This term has been a success recruitment- wise and we had our usual Freshers camp which was a lot of fun! We did a hike despite the storm, talks at Cotswold and some 'get me out of here' themed challenges. (We survived Storm Doris despite other Wales clubs not doing so :P ) Summer Over the summer we didn't take part in anything as a club apart from a few of our members attended SSAGO summer rally. As guiding/scouting members, a few represented NW during the Manchester pride parade and one member even went to Uganda as part of a girlguiding project. Upcoming Activities We have our usual fun weekly activities and our annual Christmas sleepover! We will exchange secret santa gifts, eat a delicious christmas meal and many other fun activities not yet decided! :) Suggestions There has been a suggestion for a SSAGO scholarship program: to retain membership! Also a possibility for a SSAGO fund to be set up to help those volunteers maintain their volunteering at guiding/scouting units despite nancial diculties. Picture

Club Activity This term, BUSAG has been welcoming freshers with the return of our weekly Wednesday meetings and regular socials – so far this term, we’ve done Halloween crafts, had a trip to Winterbourne House and Gardens, enjoyed a wonderful Secretary’s Cheese and Wine evening, and went to Societies’ Night hosted by the Guild. Fresher Recruitment We’ve welcomed lots of new freshers to BUSAG this term and had a great attendance at the Midlands Freshers camp in Nottingham. Summer Our committee was busy planning for the new year so we didn’t get up to much during the summer, but we’re very excited for the next year of SSAGO events, and hoping to have a great turnout at Spring Rally in London as we are unable to send many people to Plymouth’s Autumn Rally. Upcoming Activities We’re very excited to have Aber SSAGO along with others coming to Birmingham to visit the German Christmas market, as well as our own Christmas celebrations before the end of term. Picture Clubs reports for 90s Rally (November 2017) Cambridge Committee Adam Swinton (Secretary) Amy Bland (Scout and Gui de Liason Ocer) Caitlin Stark (Quartermaster) Cara Woods (Chair) Caroline Daboo (Sky Blue Editor ) Emma Crickmore (Treasurer) Meghan Bird (Social Secretary ) Oliver Cubitt (Anglia Ruskin Rep ) Thomas Webster (Adventurous A ctivities Co-ordinator & SSAGO rep)

Club Activity We made re, beat a record at the local escape room (taking it o a near by explorer group). Did some hama bead crafts and are preparing for our annual service event marathon next week! Fresher Recruitment We attended (and paid) to go to two days of the Cambridge freshers fair. We paid for some Facebook adverts. Summer Three went to moot and we had one member and one fogie in Canada. Upcoming Activities We're going to the lake district for a between Christmas and New Year get away. We've also got marathon service challenge for nearly 100 14+ year olds Suggestions Josh should make more quacking noises during reps meetings. Club Activity This term Cardi SSAGS and DofE started o with intro to DofE which explained what DofE was to new members who wished to work towards the award and the event ended in a short walk. Next, we had a 24-hour sleepover in which we invited Swansea SSAGO to join us. Activities during the sleepover included card games, team games and a visit to a local trampoline park. One of our rst fresher events was a white necker pub crawl. On the DofE side of the society we run biweekly training sessions and currently have held one training camp. Fresher Recruitment We currently have 23 members of Cardi SSAGS and DofE with over half of these are new to the society. Fresher recruitment was good and a large number of our members regularly attend the societies events. We have attended South West Freshers as a society. Summer We attended SSAGO Reunion and 50th Anniversary. Upcoming Activities Our biggest upcoming event is the annual Christmas meal. This will be a chance for the society to all come together for one nal meal before going away for the nal part of the year. The Christmas meal tends to be one of our more popular events as a lot of our members live a short distance from University and therefore cannot make most socials. Clubs reports for 90s Rally (November 2017) Glasgow SSAGO Committee Adriana Iuliano (Secretary) Katie Emmott (President) Maria Elena Roselli (Treas urer)

Club Activity Glasgow SSAGO has been getting started again after a period of inactivity, and we're still nding our feet. Despite this, we've had a really exciting term. After our Fresher's week treasure hunt, we've enjoyed a unicorn challenge badge evening (including ice-breakers, a chance to buy neckies and a fabulous marshmallow- and-spaghetti unicorn statue), and a geocaching adventure around Glasgow. We've also travelled over to Edinburgh to join Indie SSAGO members there to climb Arthur's Seat, and have coee and a meeting in Edinburgh museum. Fresher Recruitment A few hiccups as we weren't aliated with our Student Representative Council, etc. means our Fresher's recruitment was based around yers and posters on campus, and a Fresher's Week Treasure Hunt on Sunday morning when it wouldn't clash with any other events. We weren't organised enough to - and were much too far from - any Fresher's camps to attend, but we'll denitely hope to next year. Summer As we're just getting started after a year of inactivity, as a club we didn't have any thing going on over the summer apart from the committee members planning and organising for the term. Upcoming Activities We're hoping to do a night-hike, a movie night and an alpaca walk (with Edinburgh Indie SSAGO members) before the end of January, but are still conrming details. Picture Clubs reports for 90s Rally (November 2017) Hull's Own Guides and Scouts Committee Amy Rutter (Vice Chair) Becky Hopkins (Secreta ry) Kate Mann (Treasurer) Katie Dewar (Social Secr etary) Paul Furnival (Chair)

Club Activity This year we became successfully ratied within the terms of the University (wahey!) and had a lot of good meet ups and socials! We've enjoyed a November BBQ Cook Out on a drizzly evening, helped St John Newlands set up and run their yearly rework display fundraiser, and began planning for 3 teams to set o across Europe next summer to complete their Explorer Belt! Fresher Recruitment This year, we've had many new members join up- we must have done something right at freshers! It's been great to get people from all stages of their degrees to meet up, and bond over something as simple as scouting and guiding. We also had a good number go to our rst Northern Freshers Camp- only one of us had been to any sort of SSAGO camp before, so that was a new experience for many of us! Summer As a group, there was nothing excting, but had a few members out in Iceland for the , and others running international camps here in the UK. Upcoming Activities This year, we're having a pretty relaxed end of the term. We have a chill movie night planned, and a night out on the town in December- but who knows what will pop up in the next few weeks! Picture Clubs reports for 90s Rally (November 2017) Indie Committee Lorna Jackson (Indie Rep)

Club Activity We have been recruiting new members and sorting out their membership requests. A new London Contingent for Indie members has been set up and is in the process of getting started. Fresher Recruitment The Fresher's camps were advertised to Indie members although I do not think any members attended any. There were a few Indies at SSAGO reunion and Indiana was scared of being left behind on the monopoly run. Summer Some Indie members attended Moot with other SSAGO members. Indiana had fun moving house several times. Upcoming Activities Currently have no plans. Picture

Clubs reports for 90s Rally (November 2017) Keele SSAGO Committee Ebony Beneld (Treasurer) Hannah Morland (Secretary ) Maria Glover (President) Reuben Cone (Scouting a nd Guiding Coorindator )

Club Activity This semester started with some icebreaker games and our annual fresher's chip shop hike, and a treasure hunt around Keele to link in with the SSAGO 50th anniversary badge. We baked some birthday cakes for SSAGO, made Halloween crafts by upcycling books into pumpkins and hosted a sixties themed night where we listened to sixties music and earned the 1960's Girlguiding knotters badge. We also attended the Newcastle under Lyme remembrance parade. Fresher Recruitment Freshers went really well for us, we had lots of signups and interest at freshers fair and our membership increased from 6 to 13. Everyone who attended our taster sessions has paid and continues to come to meetings. We attended the SNoGS frightening fresher's halloween camp, which was an amazing weekend. We took three freshers with us, all three came back with us, and we managed to convince two of them to come all the way to rally as a result of the weekend. Summer As a club we did not do anything together other than rally and reunion, however our members were busy with guiding and scouting. One of our members attended Gilwell 24 with SSAGO supports, and another did Wellies and Wristbands as a guider. One of our members attended Guiding Staordshire's centenary celebration in July. We individually got involved with cub camps and guide camps at home. Upcoming Activities Christmas meal Suggestions no Picture Clubs reports for 90s Rally (November 2017) Lancaster Committee Abigail Dutton (Treasurer) Abigail Roscoe (Vice Presid ent) Alice Lake (Social Secretary) Edwin Burkinshaw (Social Se cretary) Heidi Jones (Events Ocer) Helen Walter (Secretary) Joseph Richardson (Presi dent)

Club Activity Weekly socials have been going well - we've had our freshers' meal, a crafty session, a halloween bar crawl, a treasure hunt in a local park and a board games evening. We also had a geocaching social one weekend, unfortunately the caches were too well hidden! Fresher Recruitment Very good recruitment this year and a lot of them are still attending. We ran our own freshers camp from the 10th - 12th in Edinburgh, including a trip to the zoo and a walk up Arthur's Seat. Summer 3 members went to Iceland for the scout moot Upcoming Activities We have our Christmas meal in a few weeks and a plan for an alumni sleepover is in the works. Club Activity Ilkley moor hike, Great LUUSAG Halloweeeeeen Bake O, couple of pub quiz', bowling, trampolining, SHIT SHIRT OTLEY RUN Fresher Recruitment not too shabby, more freshers than last year. Went to GYSSAGO (sorry, northern) freshers camp in sheeld. Summer Went to this Rally thing at Bradley Wood. Was pretty cool. Upcoming Activities LUUSAG annual christmas dinner Quote Should be a quote from fresher Tom, but he was too drunk to speak Clubs reports for 90s Rally (November 2017) Leicester Committee Amber Bryant-Beattie (DMU President 2017/18) Elizabeth Powell (DMU Secretary 2017/18) Hannah Lewis (DMU Health and Safety O cer 2017/18) Joseph Green (UoL SSAGO & Camps Rep 2017/18) Kate Bethany Page (UoL Treasurer 2017/18) Lauren Sabberton (UoL President 2017/18) Liam Millard (UoL Secretary 2017/18) Samuel Bamford (DMU Treasurer 201 7/18)

Club Activity We've hosted a range of events so far this term including a scavenger hunt, pub quiz, a trip to Leicester Diwali celebrations, Halloween games, a card games night and our annual Bonre Night BBQ and have had a good turnout at every event. Fresher Recruitment We had a very successful recruitment period as for the rst time ever we were able to have a stall at DMU freshers fair as well as having 2 days at University of Leicester freshers fair, thanks to our new DMU committee which has launched this year. 7 of us (but no freshers :( ) went to the Midlands Freshers Camp hosted by Nottingham and had a fantastic weekend. Summer The committee spent the summer planning an action-packed programme of events for this term. Upcoming Activities We have some exciting events planned for the rest of the term, including a trip to Birmingham Christmas Market, a badge bar crawl, movie night and bowling. Picture Clubs reports for 90s Rally (November 2017) Liverpool University SSAGO Committee Aisling Bridger (Treasurer) Alice Saunders (Secretary) Joe Barnes (Liason Ocer) Rory Powell (Chair) Samir Soares (Publi city)

Club Activity We began with a city centre orienteering evening which always goes well. Since then we have completed our 50 year-old badge, done a campre cook-o. We did 12 activities in 120 minutes to prepare for our local overnight county camp, Tawd25. We have been preparing activites and doing admin for the upcoming Science later this month. For Halloween, we couldn't nd any pumpkins so we carved swedes instead. Fresher Recruitment We gained 6 new members who come regularly through our Fresher's fair. We cancelled going to the Northern Fresher's camp due to lack of interest. Summer We went on a pirate themed summer camp to Great Tower in the Lake District for a week, doing lots of activities including canoeing. Some members attended the MerseyMoot Network/Explorer camp at the beginning of September. Upcoming Activities We have the Science Jamboree which we are running in partnership with the Science Department of the Uni; in one weekend we have nearly 1000 , cubs and brownies coming into university to complete science related badges. Club Activity We kicked o the year with our freshers recruitment drive, which included a beach BBQ. We've also done other activities including bouldering and a pub quiz. We also did some stu joint with the local network, including a pool night. Fresher Recruitment We tried to have a big recruitment drive this year, attending the international welcome fair and the 3 day general freshers fair. In the end we successfully recruited over half a dozen new members to the society! Summer Unfortunately not, but we've got some ideas of stu to do over next summer already! Upcoming Activities In the lead-up to Christmas we're planning on ice skating and our annual society Christmas meal! Club Activity This term we have had a variety of weekly socials. These included Bowling, Trampolining, Campre, and many, many, more. We have also had two pub lunches this term, with a high turnout from new members. In addition to this, we had our annual volunteers evening with representatives from the local Guiding and Scouting districts and from Network to introduce our members to all of the wonderful volunteering opportunities in Nottingham. Finally, we also ran the League of Midlands’ Freshers’ Camp at Sherbrooke Campsite where a good time was had by all with a good turnout from SNoGS. Fresher Recruitment We had a stall at Fresher's Fair for two days, to ensure students were aware that a SSAGO group does exist at the University of Nottingham. Also, we emailed Trent SU for promotion within their university and have grown our Trent cohort within the society. The rst two events we ran were free to come to, so students could experience what the society is like before joining. Summer SNoGS rounded o the year with Summer Camp at Paccar where Floozy Duck’s famous humour added even more laughs to proceedings! We also sent a contingent to the SSAGO 50th Anniversary Reunion where we enjoyed meeting SSAGO members old and new and sharing our unversity scouting and guiding experiences. Upcoming Activities Our next few socials include: Film Night, Club History and Time-capsule Night, Christmas Bake-o and we will also be going to the Pantomime to see Beauty and the Beast at the Theatre Royal featuring Benidorm’s Sherrie Hewson. SNoGS will be having their annual Christmas dinner at the Horn in Hand. Suggestions Thank you for the great work you have done so far. :) Picture

Clubs reports for 90s Rally (November 2017) Portsmouth SSAGO Committee Ellissa Millard (Treasurer) Emma Lane (Social Secret ary) Ethan Rose (Chair) Katherine Wheeler (Secretary)

Club Activity So far we've had a very active term, with a range of indoor and outdoor activities. Our white t-shirt social at the start of the year was popular as ever, and we also ran a ready, steady, cook competition, a trip to FlipOut - a local trampoline park, and our annual 'Portsmouth Monopoly Run' competition, among other things. All our activities have been well attended, with at least 10 members present at each event! Fresher Recruitment Recruitment at Freshers Fayre went really well, and we almost tripled our numbers based on last years membership. As well as the high level of recruitment, we've also seen a higher percentage of our members attending events year on year, with between 10 and 15 members regularly in attendance. Three of our members attended South West Freshers Camp, including our treasurer who sent back this report; "The SW Fresher's camp was a fantastic weekend that all three attending members thoroughly enjoyed. We had lots of fun doing activities such as airhop, catapult making and castle building. It was a good chance to meet up with SSAGO members from across the SW and meet new people. Wanted to say thank you to the UOBGAS for a well organised and fun weekend." - Ellissa. Summer Although we didn't do anything ocial organised as a club over the summer, our members attended many events where they met up including the World Scout Moot, Gilwell Reunion and Intense. Upcoming Activities We have a record number of 9 attending rally, which is a big improvement over last year where we had nobody attend 2/3 rallies. We have several events currently being planned for our weekly programme, including going ice skating in Guildhall Square, doing Christmas craft and nally our Christmas meal in the last week of term. We're also looking into any other large scale events we can take part in for the year ahead, potentially icluding IOW Revolution and Forest Evasion in the spring. Suggestions Nothing so far! Club Activity We started the year with a good number turning up to events. Hosting classics like pub quizzes and pumpkin carving. As well as hosting northern freshers camp. Fresher Recruitment Attended freshers fair and hosted northern freshers. Summer Nope. Upcoming Activities Cheese and wine night. Clubs reports for 90s Rally (November 2017) Solent SSAGO Committee Clare Fuller (Chair) Lauren Petherbridg e (Archivist) Lewis Cleminson (Treasurer) Mollie Tuck (Secretary) Ryan Parry (Social Secr etary)

Club Activity The autumn term has been very busy for Solent SSAGO. We have found a new location for our Pub Meets, had a Solent SSAGO bake o, been donutting, had a pub quiz, been to Winchester Fireworks, went on a night hike where we only got lost slightly, made Halloween crafts and held our rst ever Freshers Camp. Fresher Recruitment Freshers went well for Solent SSAGO this year and we have quite a few new members attending regularly. Over the summer many of our members have left university and sadly left Solent SSAGO (although we are lucky for some to come back and visit us). We also held our rst ever Freshers Camp at 2nd Southampton Scout Hut. We played games, had a campre, made smores and watched Mean Girls. As well as being lucky enough for dinner and breakfast cooked for us by Ryan, our social sec. Summer Solent SSAGO as a whole haven't been able to meet since Leeds Around the World Rally, so the rst Pub Meet of the year was a great time to catch up. However, two of our now associate members, went to Switzerland on a joint international trip with Southampton SSAGO. Upcoming Activities In the run up to Christmas we plan to go Ice Skating as a joint social with Southampton SSAGO, have a Christmas Meal at TGI Fridays and go to the Southampton Christmas Market for some mulled wine and other treats. Picture Clubs reports for 90s Rally (November 2017) Southampton SSAGO Committee Alexandra Massie (Guide Liaison) Elizabeth Marsden (Quartermaste r) Henry Hick (Scout Liaison) Karen Roberts (Chair) Liam Flavin (Treasurer ) Lloyd Pearson (Webma ster) Lucy Blatherwick (Social Secr etary) Mythili Damal Kandadai (Archivist) Sam Davies (Social Secretary) Timothy Bills (Chair) Toby Melville (Secret ary)

Club Activity Since September, Southampton SSAGO have had about 12 socials or events. We started o with our pre-freshers trip to Legoland, and we then had lots of members attending SSAGO Reunion. There was then our annual Grad Walk (a walk with old members of the society, often with their children or even grandchildren!), the Union Bunght (Freshers recruitment event), Freshers New Forest Walk, Freshers Treasure Hunt (Getting to know the city of Southampton), Freshers Camp (Winchester), Leader Recruitment evening (Getting members into local Guide/Scout units), Halloween Activities Night, Winchester Fireworks, Pudding Party (Everyone makes or brings a pudding), and nally a Night Hike in the New Forest. Fresher Recruitment Our Freshers recruitment this year has been very strong, with about 13 members signing up and paying membership. Of these, we regularly see 7 or 8 at our socials or weekly pub meetings. We ran our own Southampton SSAGO Freshers Camp. There were 19 people on the camp, 8 of which were freshers to the society. We did not make it to South West Freshers as the date clashed with other events we had already planned. Summer Over the Summer we held a week-long International Trip to Kandersteg, Switzerland. We also had a day trip to Portchester Castle, a weekend camp at Ferny Crofts, and a number of our members went to Moot in Iceland. We continued with our weekly pub meetings throughout the Summer. Upcoming Activities The best social we have coming up will probably be the Christmas Meal, where we will be returning to Winchester once more. Suggestions Our members would like to know whether the SSAGO 50 challenges badges will be physical badges, and if so when they will be awarded? Club Activity We've had a busy term, planning for SW Freshers, but have also enjoyed activities like a bake o, campre and the SU quiz. We also did a pub scavenger hunt around Bristol. Fresher Recruitment We had a decent Freshers 'intake'. We attracted a lot of people at our Freshers fair, and we also hosted SW Freshers' camp where we got a turn out of about 50 people. Summer A few of our members attended Gilwell 24 as SSAGO support, some of us also attended Gilwell Reunion to help out. Individually, our members have got up to lots of fun things. Upcoming Activities We have our rst Christmas meal planned in December! Suggestions No Picture

Club Activity SaGUWE have been pretty busy so far this term! We started o with a couple of out-and-about activities; leading an urban hike around Bristol, having a campre evening in the local park, and being the 're experts' at UWE's Fundraising Firework event. Since it's got colder we've moved inside and have had an evening to complete the SSAGO 50th Challenge Badge, a Hallowe'en Extraveganza party, costume planning for 90's Rally, and indoor wide games across campus. Fresher Recruitment Freshers' was quite a full-on time for us this year, with 3 campuses Freshers' Fairs attended and meet-and-greets run in each of the campuses' local areas. We ran a Give It a Go survival session - teams competed to light res, cook food, build shelters and duct-tape the UoBGAS imposter. We did attend South West Freshers' Camp - but without any Freshers :(. Summer The highlight of SaGUWE's summer was when we met up again in June and camped in Snowdon for a week, making friends with the many sheep that freely roamed the campsite. Many of our members attended Scout and Guide camps throughout the summer - Emma survived 5 nights with Beavers and Cubs, Cesca went to Switzerland... SaGUWE also had a presence at SSAGO supports events, such as Wellies and Wristbands and Strategy and Evolution. Most excitingly, Anna and James took Graham and Percival to Iceland for Moot! Upcoming Activities We are currently in the process of planning our annual SaGUWE Christmas Meal, which always promises good food, plenty of crackers, and our always popular SaGUWE Secret Santa exchange.
