Absences: We recognize that emergencies and unexpected situations arise; however, if a tutor is unable to make a session which they were committed to teach in the Dalhousie Undergraduate Medical Education Program, it is required that the tutor treat this commitment as if they were on call. Therefore, they must either find a replacement tutor themselves (such as a colleague or senior resident) or contact their department head for help finding a replacement. It is also the tutor’s responsibility to orient their replacement.

The original tutor is required to inform the appropriate Curriculum Coordinator at UGME of this change in a timely manner. They have the option to send a request to [email protected] or a Curriculum Coordinator at UGME for their replacement to have access to the teaching materials online
