Donabate Urban Framework Plan

Fingal County Council has commenced an extensive consultation process in Donabate as part of our plans to create an Urban Framework Plan (UFP) for the town.

This Urban Framework Plan seeks to provide a vision for the Donabate town centre which will improve and enhance the Main Street area and guide careful urban improvement. It is envisaged this Plan will highlight the distinctive character of Donabate, its setting on the peninsula, current issues pertinent to Donabate and, lastly, outline a programme of actions which have been agreed with the community.

Speed Limit Order - Donabate Distributor Road, Donabate, Co Dublin Notice is hereby given that the Chief Executive, Fingal County Council in exercise of the powers vested in her under Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act, 2004 and having consulted with the Commissioner of An Garda Síochána, has made an order entitled the Road Works Speed Limit (No. 1) Order, Donabate Distributor Road, Donabate, Co. Dublin. A Road Works Speed Limit of 60km/h will be introduced for the Donabate Distributor Road including the new sections of road linking to the Hearse Road and the Portrane Road (total 4.094km in length) to facilitate completion of road construction works. Fingal Community Response to COVID-19 Funding scheme The Fingal Community Response to COVID-19 Funding scheme is administered by the Fingal County Council Community Culture and Sports Division. What is the purpose of Fingal Community Response to COVID-19 Funding Scheme? The key objective of the scheme is to provide support to voluntary and community groups mobilising a local community response to COVID-19 in Fingal. Priority will be given to initiatives that strive to contain and limit the reach of the virus, safeguard volunteers and support vulnerable members in your community. Click here for more information.

Human Rights and Equality Grant Scheme 2020 Opens for Applications

The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (“the Commission”) will award small grants of up to €6,000 and general grants of up to €20,000 to support activities in Ireland that promote access to justice for people who face the greatest barriers to accessing their rights.

As part of our work on promoting the Public Sector Equality and Human Rights Duty, the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission is delighted to announce the launch of the fifth year of its student bursary scheme for prospective students of the Professional Diploma in Human Rights and Equality at the Institute of Public Administration.

LAWPRO – Stories from the Waterside Competition

The Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO) in partnership with Inland Fisheries Ireland, Waterways Ireland, The Heritage Council and The Heritage Officers Programme, is launching a national Storytelling Competition ‘Stories from the Waterside’ / ‘Scéalta Ó Thaobh An Uisce’.

The AXA Community Bike Rides programme is open and accessible to all adults 18yrs+.
