Rheagan Courville 9.900 • James lost his mother to breast cancer when he was a sophomore at LSU in 2001, and he created Foundation 56 in Lloimincia Hall 9.975 2007 to raise awareness and promote screenings and research to fight the disease. • A record $100,000 was raised this year bringing the 5-year total to more than $260,000 for Foundation 56 to fight All-Around Season High breast cancer in Baton Rouge. The Tigers rallied for a 48.800 on floor and settled for a 192.500 total, the lowest team score 1) Alabama 197.625 since 1998. 2) North Carolina 194.075 • Despite the team struggles, freshman Rheagan Courville put together a solid meet with freshman season-opening record 39.175 in the all-around, highlighted by a 9.875 on vault and a 9.825 on bars. One season ago Samantha Engle was the only senior. 2) Centenary 192.825 • Until last season LSU had not had a roster with only one senior since 2008 when Kristi Esposito was the only one. Returning All-Americans • LSU returns two All-Americans in 2012. Senior Ashley Lee picked up First-Team All-America honors on vault in 2010 while sophomore Kaleigh Dickson earned Second-Team All-America recognition in the all-around. Dickson’s All-America honor was the 106th in LSU history as she became LSU’s 10th All-American in the all-around dating back to 1986. • The Tigers lost one All-American from 2011 as Sam Engle graduated.
