THE CAVALIERS ON LA MEGA 87.7 FM Veteran broadcaster Rafael Hernández Brito, known as Rafa "El Alcalde", continues to bring his high-energy play-by-play style to each game in Spanish on the Cavaliers broadcast on LA MEGA 87.7 FM. La Mega 87.7 FM will continue to broadcast all 82 regular season games and all preseason and postseason games in Spanish. The 2017-18 season is the fourth in franchise history that Cavaliers games are covered in a second language.

Each Cavaliers broadcast begins with a 15-minute pregame show, hosted by Hernández Brito, which sets the scene for the game, including the latest news about the Cavs and the NBA. Following the game broadcast, he also hosts the postgame show, which features a complete recap with highlights and postgame commentary.

Nationally, Hernández Brito’s broadcasting experience includes 8 years as the voice of NFL football for Spanish Broadcasts on Univision from 2005 to 2013, and he has worked 12 Super Bowls. He was also the Spanish play-by-play voice of the Miami Dolphins, as well as handling the play by play for Major League Baseball, boxing and UFC. Rafa has covered the last five Soccer World Cups. RAFA TO CALL NCAA MEN’S FINAL FOUR Westwood One will once again broadcast the NCAA Men’s Final Four in Spanish this year, presenting full play-by-play on Saturday, March 31, and the National Championship Game on Monday, April 2, live from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. CHARGE WORK WISCONSIN FOR SEASON-WRAPPING WIN OSHKOSH, WI – The Canton Charge (22-28), powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, capped off the 2017-18 season with a 139-117 victory over the Wisconsin Herd (21-29) at the Menominee Nation Arena on March 23.

The Charge set a new franchise record with 34 assists on 56 made field goals and tied the team record for most three-pointers made in a game by draining 19. Canton never trailed en route to putting up their highest point total and largest margin of victory this season. Marcus Thornton had his 18th game of scoring 30+ points this season, netting 30 points and tallying nine assists in 37 minutes. Scoochie Smith finished his season with his third consecutive double-double, scoring 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting with 10 assists and two steals in 37 minutes.

JaCorey Williams notched his sixth double-double of the final eight games by finishing with 24 points on 10-of-13 shots and 12 rebounds with five assists in 32 minutes. Isaac Hamilton grabbed his first career double-double by scoring 18 points and grabbing 11 boards with two steals in 37 minutes.
