DATES TO PUT IN YOUR DIARY All events are being planned but due to Covid-19 there is a possibility that these may be cancelled. North Shore O.S. North Shore’s Autumn Show at the St Ives Shopping Village, will set-up on Wednesday evening 9th June with the pull-down on Saturday afternoon 12th June. Next month along with the bulletin there will be a show schedule, members plant list and a list for any members wanting to sell Australian Orchids both species and hybrids. North Shore’s Winter Show at the Gordon Shopping Centre, set-up Wednesday evening 14th July with the pull-down Saturday afternoon 17th July, more information closer the show. North Shore’s Spring Show at the St Ives Shopping Village will set-up on Wednesday evening 8th September with the pull-down on Saturday afternoon 11th September. More details on these shows closer to the time, although now is the time to start preparing your plants for either the display or for the sales table. Other dates Mingara Orchid Fair held at the Mingara Recreation Club at Tumbi Umbi, 26th & 27th June. This will be the first Orchid fair to be held this year. Free entry and plenty of free parking. St Ives Orchid Fair At this stage we are still planning for the St Ives Orchid Fair with the hope that it will go ahead. The dates are Friday 13th August, Saturday 14th August and Sunday 15th August. We will keep members up to date with the preparations and will keep our fingers crossed that we are able to have it. Southern Orchid Spectacular 24th – 26th September, Sutherland Basketball Stadium, Waratah Park, Old Princes Highway, Sutherland. This Fair is also in the planning stage, with the expectations that it will go ahead as normal.

With the reopening of the Royal Easter Show this year, There was the usual display of orchids as well as floral art and many other flowers. These photos show the champion orchids although the names of the orchids were not shown only the owners. As I was one of the officials at this judging I was able to put a name to it to Champion Australasian the Supreme Champion by Champion Orchid Other Owner Haemish Bongers speaking to its owner, a worthy Owner V Petrovski champion.
