WELCOME TO WEST STOCKWITH!

The Parish Council would like to welcome you to the village and we have put together this small booklet filled with a multitude of information that we hope will make your first few days and weeks a little easier.

Firstly we would like to introduce ourselves:

Huntington’s Charity

Many of you may know of this Charity due to the Christmas gifts that it makes each year to people over 65 and those children of primary school age, namely Year 1 through to Year 6.

It also gives additional eleemosynary grants to those people with special needs; this could be to help with additional expenses caused by an illness or to help young people in higher or further education with the cost of purchasing of books and/or equipment needed for their courses.

If you think that the Charity could assist you, please contact either:

• Seymour Harris The Willows, North Carr Road Tel: 01427 890255 • Helen Hartnell Laburnum House, Main Street Tel: 01427 890042

If you would prefer to make initial contact by email, the Charity email address is: [email protected]

Finally with regard to the Christmas gifts, the criteria used are as follows:

• Due to, or have already, reached either the age of 65 or 80 (the value of the gift rises when people reach this age) before the end of 2013

• A book token for children at primary school

If you believe you are entitled to either of the above, and have not received anything by Christmas Day, please inform the trustees on the above email.

Wells’ Charity

This is a very small charity in comparison with Huntington’s and concentrates on one area of giving, namely helping parents with the cost of purchasing uniforms when their child moves from primary to secondary school. If you think that this Charity could help you, please contact:

• Olga Harris The Willows, North Carr Road Tel: 01427 890255
