Currently an Adjunct Lecturer at Duke University, she has lectured on advanced civil procedure, appellate advocacy and discovery at Arizona State University Law School and was named the recipient of Arizona State's Distinguished Service Award. She is the author of numerous reviews and articles appearing in such publications as the Harvard, Texas, V^isconsin, San Diego, and Arizona Law Reviews, the ABA Journal, the University of Michigan Journal of Law Reform, Yale Journal of Lazo and Feminism and Trial Magazine.

A graduate of Swarthmore College, Judge Schroeder received her J.D. degree from the University of Chicago Law School. Following law school, she began her legal career as a trial attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. After her government service, she was a law clerk for Justice Jesse A. Udall of the Arizona Supreme Court.

For five years, she practiced with the Phoenix, Arizona law firm of Lewis and Roca, where she became a partner. Her practice included substantial work in the fields of appeals, labor law and construction.

Arizona Governor Raul Castro then named her a judge on the Arizona Court of Appeals, which has jurisdiction over all civil and nearly all criminal appeals from Arizona trial courts. Hers was the first Court of Appeals appointment under Arizona's merit system for the selection of appellate judges.
