REEDER SWORN IN TO REPRESENT HOUSE DISTRICT 58

st CHEYENNE – of Casper was sworn in as a member of the 61 on Friday at 1 p.m. in Cheyenne in the House Chambers of the Wyoming Capitol. Wyoming Supreme Court Justice William Hill administered the oath of office and Rep. Pete Illoway of the Wyoming House of Representatives presided over the ceremony.

Rep. Reeder was joined by members of the Wyoming Legislature, legislative staff, family and friends at the brief ceremony.

Following the administration of the oath of office from Justice Hill, Rep. Illoway and fellow legislators welcomed Rep. Reeder to the Wyoming Legislature. Rep. Reeder addressed the well-wishers during the ceremony stating that he has appreciated the support he has received and looks forward to serving the people of Wyoming.

“I am excited to begin working for the people of House District 58 and the people of Wyoming,” Reeder said after the ceremony.

Reeder was appointed by the Natrona County Commissioners to serve the residents of House District 58 on the Sept. 27 to fill the vacant seat left by former Rep. who resigned in September to spend more time with her family.

Speaker Buchanan has made the following changes to House Committee assignments, as a result of Rep. Shepperson’s resignation: Rep. Reeder will serve on the House Labor, Health and Social Services Committee and the House Travel, Recreation, Wildlife and Cultural Resources Committee, and the House Rules Committee. Rep. will move from House Minerals, Business and Economic Development Committee to the House Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivisions Committee.
