The Catholic Devotion for October: The Holy Rosary Praying the Rosary as a Family

Father began the Family Rosary Crusade, a worldwide campaign and Roman Catholic movement. It was his personal mission to unite families before Christ and draw them closer to God by encouraging them to pray the Rosary together. The inspiration to start a campaign came from Peyton's patron, the Blessed Virgin Mary, whom he credits as the one who interceded before God and her son Jesus Christ for his recovery from tuberculosis in 1941.

His Cause for Sainthood was officially opened in 2001 and he was named Venerable by Pope Francis. With your prayers, hopefully he will be recognized as a for Fam- ily Prayer! You can go to familyrosary.org to find out more or download the Family Rosary Mobile Rosary app for Apple or Android.
