The unofficial end of summer signals the beginning of the new scouting year and many exciting things for the and Kintecoying Lodge.

At our Day One event in April our first set of youth officers were elected by the youth membership.

Lodge Chief – Nicholas Goldrosen (Troop 237, ) Vice Chief of Inductions – Andrew Sommer (Troop 235, Queens) Vice Chief of Administration – James Maxham (Troop 427, Queens) Secretary – Kirwin Seger (Troop 23, Brooklyn) Treasurer – Patrick Machado (Troop 427, Queens)

Lodge Calendar

The 2013-2014 lodge calendar has been finalized and is found at the end of this update. Please share it with anyone whom may be interested and use it as you plan your unit’s program this year.

Ordeal Induction Weekend

Kintecoying will run its first Ordeal induction weekend at Camp Pouch this October 18th – 20th. This will be done for those candidates (youth and adult) who were elected but not inducted at one of the inductions which took place this past spring. We will be contacting units and individual candidates individually about registering for the event in the coming days. Brothers who wish to attend the weekend themselves should watch for registration information which will be available shortly.

Big Apple Jamboree OA Service Corps

In support of the 2013 Big Apple Jamboree, Kintecoying Lodge will provide a service corps to assist with two major areas of the Jamboree 1) Saturday Evening Campfire, 2) Logistical & Program Support throughout the Jamboree. All youth members who commit to the service corps will attend the Jamboree free of charge. Adults must pay the normal registration fee. An application can be found attached to this update.

Chapter Leadership

Our chapters will play a very important role in the life of our lodge. This is where most Arrowmen will have a primary point of contact with the Order of the Arrow. We encourage you to take note of when your chapter meets and reach out to your chapter adviser with any questions.
