Do you have olive oil in your kitchen?

In Bible times, oil was used for food and cooking, medicine, fuel for lamps, and religious rituals—like anointing. Oil was very useful, valuable, and seen as a blessing from God.

In the Old Testament, God blessed a widow with a lot of oil. Check out 2 Kings 4 to see how the widow used it.

Elijah and Elisha were PROPHETS OF GOD. Elijah came first. He delivered powerful messages from God and showed many people that Yahweh is the ONE TRUE GOD. Elisha followed and learned from Elijah. After Elijah went to heaven, Elisha began prophesying to the people.
