This season we will be travelling 1962 miles for our away league matches. We’ve knocked off 1216 of those so far. That’s around 62% of the total.

We still have our longest trip to go (Lydney Town), and after Longlevens in early December, our longest trip will only be 58 miles and will be done for another season!

New Coalville Town signing Kyle Perry risked missing his debut tomorrow as the club didn’t have a shirt big enough to fit him.

Standing at 6ft 4′ the experienced forward was struggling to pull on the biggest shirt the club had with kit supplier Macron unable to send one from their HQ in Italy until next week.

After some head scratching on how to overcome the issue a plea was put out on social media to see if any of the more “well-built” supporters would donate one of their replica shirts for the game.

Tomorrow, against visitors Banbury United, Perry will step out in the number 11 shirt donated by long-time Coalville supporter Damien Trown.

The shirt which can normally be seen in the bars and pubs in and around the Evo-Stik Southern League Central Premier Division grounds will this time be in the thick of the action.

Club Chairman Glyn Rennocks said: “We are really grateful to Damien for donating his shirt for the match as at one point it did look like Kyle would have his debut delayed but this is just another example of why we all love Non-League football.”

v Royal Wootton Bassett Tuesday 11th December Kick Off 7:45pm Scotty the Stag

Hi Stag Fans!!

Hopefully I might see you around the ground at some point later on this season……Fingers Crossed !!

Is it just me or does this feel like a big time case of deja vu ??? All of a sudden the whole season seems to turn on just a 2 week period. League Cup, FA Vase and Berks and Bucks Cup all in quick succession. With a tilt at the league looking somewhat unlikely, the cups are where it’s at and they are coming thick and fast just like last year…

We love the County Cup, but I can’t help thinking about Saturday. If we can somehow sneak passed Erith Town, we pocket some big cash, stay in with a sniff of Wembley and perhaps best of all we’re straight in the later rounds for next season. That would be massive !!

Me and my Dad watched England turn over Croatia in the Nations League last week. What is that competition all about ? You win and you’re in the finals. If you lose then your confined to the dustbin of League B and the prospect of a double header against somebody really rubbish like Wales !! Farcical…

Good luck to Mick and the Boys today. Another shiny pot for the club mantelpiece would be much appreciated, so see what you can do……… SCOTTY’S FAVOURITE ALL TIME FOOTBALLERS
