• Materialize the integration of the country of Saint-Louis with the tri- national agglomeration of Basel and its public transport system
• Offer a fast transport service to the city centre of Basel
• Offer a transport alternative to the use of the car in the metropolitan area
• Respond to environmental issues in reducing polluting and greenhouse gases A new tram line in a tri-national Territory to:
• Make the Saint-Louis station a true multimodal cross-border platform where the tram, the bus, the train, the cars, the taxis and the bikes meet
