Completed at the Conclusion of the AY: 2011-12

Summary of use of results, such as adjustments to goals and measures, operational changes, programming changes, professional development, etcetera:

In Fall 2013 Coker Athletics will transition to the South Atlantic Conference. We believe this change will enhance the competitive experience for our student-athletes. This move means the Echols Cup will be the primary assessment measure for our competitive standing.

In 2012-13 many (6/9) of the NCAA violations were committed by less experienced coaches; therefore we began a mentoring program. All new head coaches are paired with an existing head coach. The mentor will explain Coker policies and be another touch point to discuss NCAA rules. We believe this will decrease NCAA violations and increase the retention of these coaches, as they will more easily acclimate to Coker College.
