Norbury Trading Estate Proposals

Welcome Thank you for visiting our exhibition. Goldcrest are pleased to welcome you to view our plans for the comprehensive redevelopment of Trading Estate.

Our plans in outline are:

• Comprehensive redevelopment of the Norbury Trading Estate. • Much needed new homes including affordable homes. • Improved employment space. • Re-provisioned community space. • Excellent amenity space for residents. • Parking spaces. • Major improvements to the public realm, including widening the footpath on Craignish Avenue and the route to the park.

The plans will be attractive and of a very high quality. The proposals have been designed by Goldcrest’s in-house architects.

The plans are laid out in more detail on the following banners. Once you have finished reading about our proposals please let us know what you think of the proposals on one of our feedback forms.

Members of the project team are here to answer any questions that you may have.

The Goldcrest team specialises in challenging ‘brownfield’ sites and through a creative approach to problem solving has enabled the delivery of high quality developments across London and the South East. We are passionate about improving the neighbourhoods in which we work. We regularly meet with local residents and user groups active in the vicinity of our developments to better understand their vision for their neighbourhood and explore how we can work with the community to ensure our proposals will enhance the environment.

There will be no single aspect, north facing homes, ensuring good views and well lit places for people to live. Employment space Improved, flexible employment space

The plans include approximately 1,600sqm of high-quality flexible employment space suitable for start-ups and smaller businesses.

The employment space will be at the lower ground and ground floors and will be dual aspect naturally- ventilated units with very good levels of daylight.

A more vibrant employment space will allow the opportunity for a much better street-facing aspect to the new buildings.

The proposals will bring great benefits to Norbury • Revitalise an outdated site • Much needed new homes including family and affordable homes. • Widening of the pavement on Craignish Avenue. The development will be set further back from the street compared to the existing buildings. • The scheme has been carefully designed to respect neighbours and the street scape. • Improve the visibility and accessibility between Norbury Hall Park and Craignish Avenue. • The improved employment space; supporting new jobs. • Potential for the community space to be a nursery or health centre.
