LE CORDON BLEU PATISSERIE COMPETITION SEMIFINAL

GENERAL RULES and REGULATION:

1. Participants need to bring the dish based on recipe submitted for selection round. Participants are expected to plate and present the dish in front of judges. 2. Each group will have 30 minutes to complete 1 portion. The committee has prepared a timetable for the participants and you are expected to come on time. All team members have to be present during semifinal. 3. Plating one portion which to be divided to three judges. 4. The semifinal round will be held on Saturday, 10 May 2014 at: SUN Education Gedung Graha Kencana Level 9, Unit A Jl. Raya Perjuangan No 88, , Barat 11530 Telp: 02153660001 5. During semifinal, the committee will provide equipment as follows: - Microwave to heat the sauce only - Tissue paper - Garbage bin Any special equipment should be brought by the participants (ie: plate, knife, chopping board, etc) - No heavy equipments are allowed 6. Participants are responsible of handling the ingredients/cake/ice cream, brought from home. 7. The judges will then select 5 groups as finalists to compete in the Grand Final round in Menara Top Food -Alam Sutera on 18 May 2014. The finalists will be contacted by phone and list will be published in www.suneducationgroup.com by 12 May 2014. Rules and regulations for the Grand Final will be provided in the website on 12 May 2014.

8. The panel of judges for the competition are associated with Le Cordon Bleu and are well established respected professionals in the culinary world. - Grand Finals: Chef Thierry Larellu (Head Pastry Chef – Le Cordon Bleu Sunway - Malaysia) and Chef Rinrin Marinka (MasterChef judge and alumnus of Le Cordon Bleu) - Semi Finals: Mr. Bondan Pambudi (Head of International Relation STP Trisakti) and Chef Steven Khoe (Tres Bien) both alumni of Le Cordon Bleu 9. The Judging Criteria - Grand Finals: Mise en Place and hygiene, presentation, taste, techniques, composition and harmony of ingredients. - Semi Finals: Mise en Place, Presentation, Taste, Originality and Creativity 10. The judge’s decision is final. 11. The organizers had the right to change the panel of judges without notice. 12. The organizers have the right to change or terminate the competition. 13. Entrants to the competition are required to abide by the competition rules. 14. The organizers are not liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the entrants participating in the competition. 15. The participants to arrange their own transport for the semifinal round 16. All participants will get a certificate of completion which can be picked up during the final of cooking competition on 18 May at Menara Top Food Alam Sutera, 8.00 AM.
