The opening of the master’s program is planned for September 2017. The length of instruction is two years. The instructional program at the school was developed taking into account the experience of universities in Europe and North America. Another area of the school’s work is the creation of a modern rehabilitation center to provide physical and psychological rehabilitation. This will be a site for the rehabilitation of patients and an educational base for students. In fall 2016 UCU’s School of Rehabilitation Medicine launched the social project “Horizon of Possibilities.” Physical therapists with international experience will provide free rehabilitation services to military personnel, families of soldiers, refugees and volunteers. The institute has prepared 600 trainers for work with children with the method of trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Six hundred parents heard the talks of specialists from the institute on trauma and its influence on a child’s psyche. The institute publishes contemporary academic literature on psychotherapy. It recently translated the book Psychotherapy for Children and Teenagers Who Have Experienced Trauma or Loss. Two thousand copies are being distributed to specialists from eastern Ukraine.
