5 Bolton Central School BOLTON CENTRAL SCHOOL STRATEGIC PLANNING AND SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES As a result of the 2013 Strategic Planning Initiative, Bolton Central School continues to develop and implement annual improvement plans. Focus areas for the 2018 – 2019 school year include:

1 Increase Academic Achievement 2 Maximize Small 3 Implement STEAM Initiatives 4 Community Involvement 5 Maintain and Develop Facilities

This process engages all stakeholders through an Educational Summit, as well as data collection through meetings with the Board of Education and Steering Committee. In addition, surveys were conducted to gather additional information and identify common areas of strength and where improvements may be warranted. Finally, annual action steps with time lines for implementation are developed.

Highlighting our 2017 – 2018 Plan was the collaboration with the Town of Bolton to develop and begin play on a Varsity Baseball field. Located at the Bolton Recreation Park off of Finkle Road, the field was several years in the making and opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony and 16 to 0 win on Monday, April 23rd, 2018.

“We strive for academic excellence and remarkable experiences in a supportive community, which will exceed all expectations.”
