This year Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Simon Coveney TD was presented with the prestigious Blas Na hEireann Producers Champion Award 2015. This award follows a survey conducted by Blas na hEireann, of over 2,000 Irish food and drink producers asking them who in their opinion had done the most to promote Irish produce at home and abroad in the past year. Over 60% of respondents cited Minister Coveney.
