Bryndís Stella Bjarnardóttir Book review Jenný, Enskuheimar

The author who wrote this book has written several other books like the newest Psycho killer, her first book was Gossip girl number one and two. The books became so popular that it was made into a TV series about the books. The title of the books comes from a blog about the girls in the Constance Billard School and theirs sacred life´s. The book is a love story with some plot twist´s in it, let´s just say it’s a chick flick.

The main characters in the books are Serena van der Woodsen, , , Nate Archibald and , they are all kind of messed up in their own little way, they are spoiled rich brats that live in New York and go to a good boarding school, except Dan and his sister Jenny. They live in Brooklyn but still go to that school because their dad works so much to make them go to a good school. Dan has a huge crush on Serena and later on in the book they will be a couple. Chuck is a playboy and really messed up always drinking or with a new and new girls and Blair and Nate are dating too even though Nate has kind of stopped being in love with her but Blair is determined to make them stay together and she thinks she has solved the problem, she was going to lose her virginity or the V- card like they say it in the book, but little did she know… Blair had her mom book a suite for her and Nate after her mothers wedding but he didn’t show up Blair got real hurt and went crying home to Chuck´s which was a bad mistake, why you ask? Because she lost her virginity to him of course.

The messages that the book sends is actually kind of bad or well its not messages exactly, it sends out the wrong idea about how we should treat the other people around us. The problem with their lives is that they don’t know how to interact with the people who may be poor or just different because they live in such a “fabulous” environment with cooks and live in gorgeous apartments that they are so self involved with themselves. The scene that I remember the most is when Nate tricks Jenny to smoke a joint with him, I don’t really know why I remember that the most it just kind stuck in my head because I thought to myself about how stupid it is… Blair oh Blair my all time favorite character, even though she can be a bit nasty and cruel she still always chose the right path she protected the ones who she loved and I always admired her fashion statements and her independent´s. I seriously LOVED that book I actually chose that book because of the TV series, but the book is so different from the episodes. The book was so fascinating and I always kept track of what I was reading, I loved all the little twist that came up and had to mess everything up again and again, it is seriously a good book and good written too. I recommended it 100% and its like 4/5 stars.

XOXO GOSSIP GIRL
