Third Pay Revision Committee SCOPE organizes CEO Conclave

SCOPE highlights commendable performance by PSEs in Public Procurement

peaking at the Policy Roundtable on “Smart SPublic Procurement of IT & ITeS”, on November 17, 2016 at Indian Habitat Centre, Dr. U.D. Choubey, Director General, SCOPE emphasized the importance of public procurement by highlighting that public procurement forms 30 percent of India’s GDP. He told that e-procurement has brought transparency and has given a system in line with world best known enterprises. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. K.V. Chowdary, Central Vigilance Commissioner, CVC.

Programme on Government e-Market Place COPE supported a Programme on Government e Marketplace (GeM) for launching a portal, Sorganized by Directorate General of Supplies and Disposals (DGS&D) in collaboration with National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM) on October 27, 2016 at SCOPE Convention Centre, New Delhi. The highlight of the portal was given by Mr. Binoy Kumar, IAS, Director General, DGS&D .

Speaking in the inaugural session, Dr. U.D. Choubey, Director General, SCOPE told that transparency is the most disinfecting commodity and the objective of this portal is to eliminate human discretion in procurement process thereby imparting the best practices in corporate governance. SCOPE for extending the ambit of RTI to Non-Government Sectors

in implementing RTI in both letter and spirit, Dr. Choubey told that corruption is a common cancer for both public and private sector. Dr. Choubey said disparities between public and private sectors with regard to applicability of RTI has always hampered the competitiveness of public sector enterprises because whereas private sector have right to get lot of information from public sector but for public sector, the vice versa is not true under the present legal framework.

Oil India Limited (OIL) led Indian consortium successfully completes two landmark acquisitions in Russia he Indian consortium led by Oil India Limited (OIL), including TIndian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL)and Bharat PetroResources Limited (BPRL), a 100 percent subsidiary of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL),have successfully completed two landmark acquisitions of producing upstream assets in Russia. The consortium acquired 29.9 percent stake in LLC Taas- YuryakhNeftegazodobycha (TaasYuryakh) and 23.9 percent stake in JSC Vankorneft (Vankorneft) from Rosneft Oil Company, the National Oil Company of Russia (Rosneft).

AAI paid a Dividend of Rs. 761.21 cr. for FY 2015-16 to the Government of India.

NTPC pays Total Dividend of Rs. 2762.23 cr. for FY 2015-16 TPC Limited paid a total dividend @ 33.5 percent of its paid-up capital Nfor the financial year 2015-16, amounting to Rs. 2762.23 cr. The dividend payment is 4th highest among Public Sector Undertakings. The Company had paid interim dividend @16 percent amounting to Rs. 1319.27 cr. on February 15, 2016.
