WHAT WE DO:

Facing Headwinds with Innovation Matt Zornes, Digital Sales Manager, Las Vegas Facing headwinds is a natural part of business model evolution. How will we overcome these challenges through innovation in how we lead people, develop our processes, and leverage our technology?

Diversifying the Customer Base Mickie Smith, Marketing Leader, Oklahoma As our product and service offerings grow over the three to five-year plan, how might we approach diversifying our customer base beyond the customers we serve today?

Increasing Client Loyalty Ashley Veal, Sales Services Leader, Virginia As we aspire to create richer relationships with our customers and communities, how might we positively impact client loyalty throughout our three to five-year journey?

Leveraging Data Across Our Offering Marc Ewell, Dir. Technology, Atlanta Utilizing data can be a differentiator for Cox Media over our three to five-year plan. How might we leverage this opportunity across our offering to better meet marketplace demand?

Evolving our Go-to-Market Strategy Jeff Schmal, Marketing Leader, California As we move from just media ad sales into a more comprehensive marketing solution, what will it take to evolve across the interwoven elements of our go-to-market approach (e.g., marketing, product, sales, customer support and service, etc.)?

Expanding Our Product Offering Rebecca Kaplan, Digital Sales Manager, Arizona We aspire for our product offering to solve more of the client’s challenge across the marketing value chain. To accomplish this, what strengths might we leverage, weaknesses might we need to overcome, threats might we face, and opportunities might we capitalize on? (“SWOT”)

Increasing Inventory Availability Susy Schwede, Dir. Product, Atlanta One of our plan’s most foundational threats is also a remarkable opportunity – continued and meaningful access to large volumes of high-value video content. As exclusive video content decreases (i.e., cable subscriber households), how do we set a high standard for access to more of the inventory that our clients desire?

Establishing Meaningful Partnerships Amber Carter, Dir. Biz Dev, Atlanta A product portfolio that reaches beyond what we offer in current state is critical to capture the marketplace opportunity. As we move in that direction, what partnerships and types of partnerships do we need to achieve our full potential?

CMX21.com 16 FUTURE INTO FOCUS FUTURECAST FORUMS

Deepening Connections at Cox Mike Brostek, VP, New England A strong relationship with Cox Communications is the lifeblood of our three to five-year plan. How should we work with CCI to both strengthen Cox Media and strengthen the Cox organization overall?

HOW WE DO IT:

Attracting and Engaging the Workforce of the Future David Read, Dir. Sales, Atlanta At Cox Media, the “X” factor in achieving our three to five-year plan continues to be our people. How might respond to the opportunity to attract and engage the right talent to bring our future into focus?

Creating A Culture People Believe In - Cox Media Purpose & Principles Tony Smythe, Dir. of Sales, Kansas/Arkansas With a clear vision of our aspiration, our three to five-year plan benefits from a true north star. How might we work together to instill this vision across our organization, and what will it take to win the hearts and minds of our people?

I&D Beyond the Basics Scott Burton, VP, Louisiana Inclusivity and diversity are bedrocks from which Cox Media will evolve. How might we expand our thinking about I&D to become world-class in this area?

Leading So People Will Follow Joni Claerbout, Dir. of Sales, Florgabama Leading through business evolution is a tremendous opportunity and can have a lasting impact on the careers of leaders and the people around them. How might we think about the leadership opportunity over the next three to five-years?

Becoming a Learning Organization Amy Long, Sales Services Leader, Omaha A learning organization is an organization skilled at creating, acquiring, and transferring knowledge, and at modifying its behavior to reflect new knowledge and insights. How do we create a true learning organization at Cox Media, placing a premium on embracing the test-measure-learn approach, and sharing what we’ve learned among our teams?

Developing Leaders of the Future Diego Aramburu, Dir. CFC, Atlanta As Cox Media strives to achieve our purpose, leading within our organization should present opportunities for rewarding career growth.
