Dr. Iyanthi Abeyewickreme chaired the meeting. She thanked the Council, members and the staff of the SLMA office for their contributions towards making the activities of the SLMA a success. She summarised the achievements and shortcomings during the year and stressed the need for continuing improvement. Dr. Neelamanie Punchihewa tabled the Annual Report 2016 and the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting held on 17th December 2015. The minutes were unanimously confirmed by the membership.
