Some of the types of job opportunities we have identified for the Visually Impaired include: • Packing and folding in the garment/ apparel industry • Deburring in Aluminium Die-casting industry • Machine loading and assembly operations We are in the process of designing training programs in partnership with industry associations and along with senior supervisory staff specific to these jobs. NAB-K will provide the necessary training and skill building required, along with the discipline, and adherence to quality and safety standards required to work in an industrial environment. Our first batch of 9 Visually Impaired students have enrolled in our new Industrial / Technical Course which began in March 2018 in NAB-K Jeevanbimanagar, Bangalore. c) EMPLOYMENT/ SELF EMPLOYMENT: We work with industry associations and encourage local businessmen to employ our Visually Impaired trainees.
