OTOLARYNGOLOGIST - HEAD AND NECK SURGEON Rockyview General

The Department of , Section of Otolaryngology, and Health Services - Zone invites applications for the position of general Otolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeon. The Department of Surgery requires applicants to have completed a minimum 1-year post-residency fellowship or a Master’s degree in a related field.

Dedication to maintaining a general otolaryngology office and surgical practice is mandatory. Operating privileges at the Rockyview General Hospital are provided. Operating privileges at the Alberta Children’s Hospital may be provided if requested. The ideal candidate will have acquired training or experience in clinical or basic science research related to otolaryngology. A Master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology, Education or similar is advantageous.

The surgeon will be responsible for obtaining and office space in the community.

The successful candidate will teach and evaluate residents and medical students in various settings including clinical encounters and , didactic lectures and seminars and surgical simulation.

The recruited surgeon will support the mission of the and Department of Surgery by participating in clinical outcomes and other research projects related to their chosen field.

The position is to commence in the fall of 2016.
