Your ’s Packing List for Pony Farm

If you are bringing your horse with you to Pony Farm, use this check list to make sure your horse has everything he or she needs. We want to make sure that you and your horse have a wonderful camp experience.

Please Note: At Pony Farm, safety comes first, especially when riding and working around . We respectfully ask that you check every item of your horse’s tack and ensure that it is in good repair. The safety of all the campers, staff, and horses depends upon sound equipment, properly used.

Veterinary Paperwork Tack  Negative Coggins test within 1 year (in-state horses)  or within 6 months (horses from outside NH)   Proof of current vaccinations (required by NH law):  o Rabies  2 clean saddle pads. If you want to show your horse o Eastern/Western equine encephalitis during camp, please bring an appropriate show pad. o Rhinovirus/flu  Any special equipment your horse needs, such as a , Wintec pad, cribbing strap, etc. We also highly recommend that you vaccinate  your horse for strangles, West Nile virus, and  2 ropes tetanus, although these are not required by NH law.  2

Grooming Supplies Equipment Please bring the following items in a sturdy box  3 buckets: 1 for water, 1 for grain, 1 for washing marked with your name (items should have your  Hay net (optional) name on them, too):  Fly spray (Your horse will need it. We have lots of bugs in New Hampshire!)  Curry comb  Fly mask for turnout  2 brushes  Fly bonnet (optional but recommended)  Mane comb  Fly sheet (optional)  Hoof pick  Any medicines or special extras your horse needs  Rub rag (such as an old dish towel)  Your horse’s current feed schedule  Scissors  Sponge for your horse  Leg bandages and padding  Glycerine bar  Sponge for cleaning tack
