THE ASG ECOSYSTEM

We often get asked what ASG is, it seems like the business is disjointed, even fragmented ?

You have to take a step back to see how our global business was engineered into an eco-system comprising many diferent roll players, components and sectors of our industry in order to function in conjunction with each other.

We like to think of ASG as an eco-system of 'raving fan'-clients, passionate 'nothing is impossible' employees, involved and committed shareholders and partners we count amongst our closest friends.

Our business is vertically integrated and we manufacture 'kick ass' products under brand names owned by ASG while also partnering with some of the world's leading brands to distribute their products into our network of athletes, dealers and partners.

Our focus and strategy is very much end consumer focused whether it be through our retail or online stores, ASG owned and operated events, various services including state of the art bike setup, training, rehab and coaching solutions, or our ASG Club activities. This vertical and horizontal integration means ASG can respond quickly to almost any challenge or opportunity while also beneﬁting from internal synergies often uniquely available to us.

But most importantly we ﬁght almost every day to protect the ASG DNA - we never want to stop having fun, we never want to stop innovating and we never want to stop breaking the rules... we encourage our staf to make mistakes and to learn from them.

We're not scared to take on the impossible every day and often we defeat it.

At ASG we subscribe to the unshakable believe that everything can be done better, every service can be improved and every problem can be solved.

This disruptive thinking has served us well and we will continue to challenge ourselves to never settle for ordinary.

We will continue to destroy the status quo as we wake up every day looking for more ways to innovate in our industry and serve our clients better.

OUR STORY

The ASG Group was originally founded in 1999 by Heinrich Dannhauser in South Africa as a diverse organisation involved in software development, management consulting, property development and more.

In 2006, after great success in all the above areas, Heinrich decided to expand into the sports distribution industry. He did this with the establishment of ASG Sport Solutions (www.asgsport.co.za) and securing the exclusive agency for Rudy Project, Pinarello and Sidi in Southern Africa.

Only a few years later ASG Sport Solutions grew rapidly to include some of the biggest brands in cycling as well as a network that stretched across southern africa, making it the biggest organisation within the south african cycling industry.

In 2011 ASG International (www.asgint.com) was established as a strategic partnership between ASG Sport Solutions South Africa and italian bike bag company SCICON (www.sciconbags.com).

Based in the north east of Italy (Mussolente, Veneto) ASG International is in the centre of the “silicon valley” of the sporting goods industry, perfectly placed to conduct business in a wide range of sectors including cycling clothing Ftech (www.ftech.it), brands distribution, retail, events, travel and custom concepts.

In 2016, the venture capital group Capitalworks, bought a stake in ASG, allowing the Group to rapidly expand its operations on a global scale.

In 2017 ASG International expanded its operations to include specialised sport sponsorship, licensing and marketing services in the form of ASG Sport Management (www.asgsportmanagement.com) based in Montecarlo (Monaco).

Later in 2017 ASG North America was formed as the strategic entry point to the American endurance sports market. In order to booster ASG North America's strategic position, Ellsworth (www.ellsworthbikes.com) were introduced to the brand portfolio.

In addition to this, ASG North America will assume the role of distribution for SCICON within the U.S.A. This will dramatically increase efciency and allow full control of the supply chain.

LA NOSTRA STORIA

ASG è stata inizialmente fondata in Sud Africa nel 1999 da Heinrich Dannhauser quale Azienda specializzata in software, consulenza aziendale, immobi- liare, logistica, ﬁnanziaria.

Nel 2006, dopo aver ottenuto un grande successo in tali aree, Heinrich decide di espandere il proprio interesse nella distribuzione di articoli sportivi. Fonda la ASG Sport Solutions (www.asgport.co.za) assicurandosi inizialmente la distribuzione in esclusiva di Rudy Project, Pinarello, Sidi.

In pochi anni ASG Sport Solutions diventa uno dei piu’ grandi ed importanti Distributori nel settore Sport/Bici in Sud Africa.

Nel 2011 viene fondata la ASG International (www.asgint.com). Una partnership strategica tra ASG Sport Solutions Sud Africa e l’italiana SCICON (www.- sciconbags.com) leader nella produzione di borse tecniche per bici.

ASG International ha sede a Mussolente (VI) nel Nord Est dell’Italia e centro della “silicon valley” dell’industria degli articoli sportivi italiani.
