Kivells Auctioneers were delighted to conduct the very genuine ‘Complete Dispersal’ of Tractors, Handlers, Harvesters & Equipment on behalf of The Colwill Family of Welsford Farm near Hartland.

A really good crowd of buyers travelled from far and wide to attend in person together with those who chose to bid over the phone.

Overall top call of the day was £26,000 given for the ’12 reg Claas 640 going off to its new home in Wiltshire with the ’08 reg Claas 697 at £12,750 going to Somerset whilst the Claas Jaguar forage harvester (unwarranted hrs on clock) reached £17,500 going to . The pick of the Manitou handlers topped at £11,600 going to the Devon/Cornwall border and the Suzuki quad racing away to £1,400.

A superb line-up of equipment saw the ‘trade of the day’ given for the Shelbourne dispenser which went to a neighbouring farmer at £15,400. Other leading prices included the Major tanker at £5,300, feeder wagon at £5,200 and forage wagon at £4,900 whilst the silage/hay equipment saw the Claas rake reach £5,200 and the tedder at £2,400.

The pick of 3 Marston silage trailers reached £4,700. A good range of mowers topped at 3,900 with others staying local at £3,800. A well maintained line-up of slurry equipment topped at £7,500 with plenty of groundwork equipment between £2,500 - £4,200. Amongst the smaller goods, a smart line-up of IAE cattle feeder bins hit £520 whilst the best of the calf pens c/w fronts reached £260, £200 & £180. Stone water troughs raised to £320 and the best of the square cattle silage feeders hit £380 (x2).

In the ‘outside’ entries a top call of £15,100 was given for the Stewart trailer going off to Stibb Cross with the older silage trailer from Jason Lang reaching £2,000 and the Kverneland topper from Victor Goaman at £875.
