Service Tasks that CAN be completed Tasks that CANNOT be completed

• Assist with the use of adaptive equipment such as cane, walker or w/c. • Lift more than 25 pounds of weight • Assist with transfers including use of adaptive • Assist with position if the client has an open wound Mobility equipment such as gait belt, w/c, grab-bar, tub seat or bed sore that could be affected by repositioning • Assist with positioning in a bed, w/c or other furniture • Assist to and from bathroom • Insert General • Assist with commodes, urinals, bedpans • Give Toileting • Assist with wiping • Assist with clothing, incontinence pads/briefs • Insert, remove or care for the catheter External • Empty or change catheter bags • Remove a wafer around a stoma to replace Collection Devices • Empty or change ostomy bags • Care for stoma site

Bathing • With or provide a tub bath, shower or sponge bath • Provide skin dressing or skilled skin care

• Assist with ordinary dressing • Assist with Ace bandage or other pressure stockings Dressing • Assist with no-prescription support stockings that require a physician’s prescription • Assist with shampooing, drying, combing or • Assist with that is medicated or requires a Hair Care styling hair prescription • Assist with nail care including soaking nails, pushing back cuticles with using utensils Nail Care • Clip or cut toenails for diabetic clients • • Filing and polishing nails Clip/cut finger or toenails of non-diabetics • Assist with shaving using an electric razor or Shaving • Assist with shaving using a straight edge razor safety razor

Makeup • Assist with makeup, except mascara • Apply mascara
