Anne Akiko Meyers is one of the world’s premier concert violinists. She regularly performs as guest soloist with many of the world’s most prestigious orchestras, in recital, and on television and radio. She is a top-selling recording artist who has close to 30 albums to her credit. In 2013-14 Meyers’ performances include recital and concerto appearances in North America, Europe and Asia, as well as new recordings with the London Symphony Orchestra and English Chamber Orchestra. Of special note are performances with the Chicago, Detroit, Nashville, and Richmond Symphony Orchestras of the . She co- commissioned the concerto with the Pittsburgh Symphony, with whom she premiered it with in December 2012. This past February, eOne Records released The Four Seasons: The Vivaldi Album , which also features the Vivaldi Triple Concerto (where she plays all three parts) and Arvo Pärt’s Passacaglia with the English Chamber Orchestra. This will mark the debut recording of the ‘Ex-Vieuxtemps’ Guarneri del Gesu, dated 1741. That violin was recently awarded to Meyers on a lifetime loan, and is considered by many to be the finest sounding violin in existence.

Ms. Meyers has also collaborated with top jazz artists such as , , and Ryuchi Sakamoto, performed the National Anthem in front of 42,000 fans at Safeco Field in Seattle, and appeared twice on The Tonight Show . She was named the number three story of 2010 on MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann .

Anne was born in San Diego, and grew up in Southern California. She studied with Alice and Eleonore Schoenfeld at the Colburn School of Performing Arts, at Indiana University, and , Masao Kawasaki and Dorothy DeLay at the . Anne has been awarded the Avery Fisher Career Grant and serves on the advisory board of Young Concert Artists.
