NAME: Brief Intervention Services Contact Details: Referred by GP Mental Health Brief Intervention Service (MHBIS) clinicians are registered mental health professionals from a variety of backgrounds, who have had specific training as brief intervention coordinators. An MHBIS clinician can help with low mood, anxiety, alcohol or substance abuse, and other mental health issues. There is no charge to see an MHBIS clinician, people are referred via a GP and can receive up to four funded sessions with an MHBIS clinician. The MHBIS clinician offer support, problem solving, advice and assessment. They can also refer to other agencies once the sessions have finished.
