PASSPORT MUSIC EXPORT SUMMIT / MENTORS 1 Passport: Music Export Summit will provide international trade and export market development training for export-ready Canadian artists, artist managers, and music entrepreneurs. This innovative new project will provide market intelligence, business skills, and information to develop export markets and increase international trade. This program is designed to help Canadian artists and managers understand the challenges and opportunities of global music releases. Produced by Manitoba Music in partnership with Music Nova Scotia, Canada’s Music Incubator, and the National Music Centre, this is the first edition of PASSPORT. His music is a genre-bending exploration of folk, klezmer, jazz, and soul. His most recent project is an award winning concert- theatre hybrid called Old Stock: A Refugee Love Story. The play is running Off Broadway for seven weeks in early 2018. After Caplan packs up in New York, he’ll head back onto the road with his band to perform the songs of Old Stock both inside and outside of the theatre. Andrew is the founder of Aakuluk Music Incorporated, management side, Vanessa worked in festival event management Nunavut’s first record label and now manages Nunavut artists Riit, as Community Development Manager for Six Shooter Records’ Northern Haze, and Josh Qaumariaq and The Trade Offs. Winnipeg edition of Interstellar Rodeo (2017) and acted as the festival’s Volunteer Manager from 2015-16. Previous to her work on the industry side, Vanessa Kuzina began her career in music as a solo singer-songwriter and later founding and performing International touring and acclaimed recording act Oh My Darling from 2007-2015.

He’s overseen launching Vancouver based act Peach Pit internationally who are now heading to Europe and Asia and recently signed indie act Yung Heazy. While newer at management Tristan has a multi-faceted background with over 20 years of work in arts and entertainment. This includes producing and directing for film and television, online music publication, event marketing & promotion, talent buying, and as a musician and artist himself. He’s learned the tricks of the trade through hard work, grit and previous stints for Western Canadian music industry staples Fortune Sound Club, Blueprint Events, The Biltmore Cabaret & MRG Concerts. — AMANDA RHEAUME ARTIST Amanda Rheaume is an award-winning Métis singer-songwriter with a powerful, slightly gritty, deeply personal, and instantly accessible roots-pop Americana sound. She delivers her unique and soulful blend of folk-country-pop twinged tracks internationally at major country and folk/roots festivals, theatres and clubs in Canada, Germany, Austria, France, Denmark, England, Scotland and Ireland.
