Executive Officer - Planning Harpole Parish Council Working Hours: 10 hours per week Salary: LC1 SCP 33 (£29,323) pro rata Initially Home Based. Harpole is a Parish 4 miles west of , with 650 houses and a precept for 2019/20 of £59,500. Harpole is in the district council area of South where it is part of Harpole and Grange ward, together with the parishes of , , , and Gayton. It is also in the area of Northamptonshire County Council and the Parliamentary Constituency of .

Neighbourhood Plan

In common with many Parish Councils, Harpole has a Neighbourhood Plan. Under the Regulations, Harpole Neighbourhood Plan is ‘made’, and planning applications in the parish must be considered against the Harpole Neighbourhood Development Plan, as well as existing planning policy documents.

Planning permissions have been applied for covering significant developments in the Parish which will bring 2000+ additional homes to the Parish over the next five to ten years, together with developments at M1 J16 within the Parish.

Applications are invited for the post of Planning Executive Officer, who will play a key role in ensuring that the Parish Council rises to the challenges and opportunities this will bring. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills as well as an ability to work in the local authority planning system efficiently and accurately.
