1. Do you provide access to an Independent Domestic Abuse Advisor?

Yes

2. If yes, do you provide access to an IDAA at every hospital site?

The local authority commission an IDVA to provide services at St Mary’s Hospital at the Trust’s Oxford Road and Wythenshawe hospital sites.

3. Do you employ a domestic abuse specialist nurse?

The Trust employs a safeguarding team who provide advice, training, supervision and consultation to staff in order to support staff to recognise and respond to domestic abuse.

4. If yes, do you employ a domestic abuse specialist nurse at every hospital site?

The safeguarding team provide a service across the MFT footprint

5. Do you have a Domestic Abuse policy?

Yes

6. If yes, please provide a copy.

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) was formed on 1st October 2017 following the merger of Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM).

Former Central Manchester NHS Foundation Trust:

2015/16 – 132 DASH referrals to MARAC from Trust staff 2016/17 – 119 DASH referrals to MARAC from Trust staff 2017/18 – 135 DASH referrals to MARAC from Trust staff

Former University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust:

2016/17 - 45 DASH referrals to MARAC from Trust staff

Current Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust:

2018/19 – 165 DASH referrals to MARAC from Trust staff 2019/20 – 483 DASH referrals to MARAC from Trust staff
