LAST GAME: DEC. 2 - NEW JERSEY 0 at ARIZONA 5 The Devils fell, 0-5, to the Coyotes at Gila River Arena in the second of their three-game, road-trip and concluded their season-series, 1-1-0, against Arizona. It was the third game in 2017-18 that New Jersey was held without a goal (Nov. 16 @ TOR, 0-1 OT, Oct. 20 vs. SJS, 0-3 L). Saturday's loss came on the tail-end of the club's sixth set of back-to-back games. The Devils are 5-1-0 in the first-half and are 4-2-0 in the second-half of back-to-back sets.

Both clubs totaled 27 shots on goal. Keith Kinkaid started in net against the Coyotes for the first time in his NHL career (2nd appearance) and stopped 22 of 27 shots (.815 save%). It was just his second regulation loss of the season (5-2-1 overall). Additionally, New Jersey was shut-out in Kinkaid's only other regulation-loss of 2017-18; Oct. 20 vs. SJS (0-3 L). Former Devils' goaltender, Scott Wedgewood, started in net for Arizona to record his first shutout at the NHL-level since, Mar. 24, 2016, in a Devils' 3-0 victory at PIT (39 saves).

Blueliner Damon Severson led all Devils' skaters with 20:59 of action. Travis Zajac's 19:44 was a season-high and he was 58.8% (10- 17) in face-offs. Drew Stafford led NJD with five shots, tying his previous season-high (Oct. 17 vs. TB, 5).
