Day 01: AUSTRALIA – TAIPEI Depart Australia to Taipei on Cathay Pacific Airways in the morning via Hong Kong and arrive in the evening. Upon arrival at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport, a guide will greet you at the arrival section and transfer you to your hotel. Accommodation: Hotel Orchard Park or similar

Day 02: TAOYUAN – NANTOU (B.L.D) After breakfast, visit one of the most popular spots in Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake Scenic Area (including cruise + cable car), which is the largest freshwater lake in Taiwan, covering 900 hectares. This area is holy land for the Shao aboriginal people in Taiwan. The northern part of the lake is shaped like the sun, the southern half is shaped like the moon; hence its name. Enjoy Shao Cuisine for lunch. Later, proceed to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, located in . Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village is a theme park full of entertainment, cultural experience activities and traditional song/dance performances. It is a great place to see a combination of Taiwanese recreation, tourism and education. The Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village is known for its aboriginal cultures, which offers a new insight of Taiwan! In addition to cultural experiences, you can also ride the fun roller-coaster. During some seasons, the village offers seasonal performances or shows, such as a welcome ceremony, blessing ceremony, thorn blessing, ramie, and a historical museum visit. Day 03: NANTOU – ZHANGHUA – TAICHUNG (B.L) After breakfast, visit the Chung Tai Chan . In 1987, Grand Master built Lin Quan (“Spiritual Spring”) Chan Monastery and founded the Chung Tai Shan Buddhist Order. Since then the Order has grown necessitating the building of a larger monastery. Thus, Chung Tai Chan Monastery was inaugurated on September 2001 to meet the needs of his followers and disciples. Next proceed onwards to Lukang Town, preserving its appearances of the old street during the Qing Dynasty. The red brick road is curved and strolled, full of ancient charm. Lukang was a busy port and economic center years ago. After a hundred years, Lukang Old Street has also been rated as a two-star attraction by the international tourism and food industry authority “Michelin”. From the old street tour, you will see the famous Tianhou Temple, Ding Ancient House and Nine-Turns lane. Enjoy Taiwanese cuisine for lunch. Later, visit Rainbow Village, filled with many colorful paintings on the sides of of houses. Afterwards, we visit National Taichung Theater which is designed by Pritzke Price-winning, Japanese architect Toyo Ito. The opera house is an astonishing piece architecture in the city. In the evening, visit Fengjia Night Market to enjoy the delicious Taiwanese snacks from the night market. Fengjia Night Market is the largest and one of the most famous night markets in Taiwan. Day 04: TAICHUNG – TAIPEI (B.D) After breakfast, stop by the Pearl Exhibition Center and visit the Yehliu Geopark. There, you can learn about development processes of mushroom rocks as well as discover ginger rocks, cleavages, potholes, melting erosion panels and etc. Afterward, we proceed to Jiufen Mountain Town. According to legend, this village once housed nine families and thus would request “nine portions” every time shipments arrived from the sea. Overtime, people named it Jiufen, which means nine portions in Chinese. In the 1the 1890s gold was discovered nearby leading to a gold rush and rapid development. At that time, people called it “small Shanghai” and “small Hong Kong”. Lately, it has become a popular tourist destination. Lunch is at your own arrangement today. In the afternoon, visit the curtain-like Shifen Waterfall. The mist formed by the waterfall often fills the waterfall pool. Therefore, when the sun shines in, the room is filled with a rainbow in the clear sky. After appreciating the Shifen Waterfall, we proceed to the old street where we will unleash the sky lanterns (Lantern not included, own purchase). Shifen Old Street is famous for the wonderous streets, shops and crowds right aside the train lane. You will experience a whole different type of street market. Day 05: TAIPEI (B.L.D) After breakfast, travel to the aboriginal souvenir center and shops to buy some Taiwanese snacks or gifts for you and your family. Later, proceed to National Palace Museum, which displays a collection of ancient Chinese artifacts. The collections are worldwide and have covered different dynasties in the 5000- year history of ancient China. Afterward, visit Martyr’s Shrine, the shrine built to honour the fallen Kuomintang soldiers after the Chinese Civil War. Enjoy Taiwanese Pork Rice for lunch. After lunch, visit Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, which contains displays of Sun’s accomplishments during and after the fall of the Qing Dynasty. Today, it is a meeting ground for various social, educational, and cultural activities. Then, head to Taiwan’s landmark, the Taipei 101 Building, which has a shopping mall and offices. It is currently the ninth tallest building in the world. The building has the world’s largest damper and the fastest elevator in the world. You can take the elevator to the observation deck to take in a panoramic view of Taipei at your own expense. Enjoy Din Tai Fung for dinner. Accommodation: Taipei Fushin Hotel or similar

Day 06: TAIPEI – SEOUL (B) After breakfast, you are free at leisure until the afternoon. You will be transferred to airport for your flight to Seoul, South Korea. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to hotel. Accommodation: Howard Johnson Hotel Incheon Airport or similar

Day 07: SEOUL – GANGWON-DO (B.L.D) After breakfast, visit the “Daejanggeum Theme Park”, which is a renovated and restored outdoor set and one of the major shooting venues for the TV series “Dae Jang Geum”. Afterwards, you can visit Nami Island, where the Korean drama “Winter Sonata” was recorded. The island is full of meadows and walking trails. The island is where the two main characters begin and end their dramatic love story. You will also see a more recent attraction, Soyang River Skywalk. Skywalk is a transparent glass bridge about 12 meters high from the surface of the river. It is not only a beautiful viewing platform but also a good place for a photo stop. The platform allows the illusion of walking on air and falling into the water, giving people a thrilling sensation. Then, go to Seoraksan National Park, which is one of the eastern peaks of South Korea and located in a famous tourist attraction in Gangwon-do. Also known as snow-capped mountains, each year it snows early and remains there for a long time. Afterwards, visit Sinheungsa Temple. Dinner at the hotel. Day 08: GANGWON-DO – SEOUL (B/L/D) After breakfast, visit the Imperial Palace of the Joseon Dynasty – Gyeongbokgung Palace along with the National Folk Museum of Korea. Watch the changing of the guards ceremony which has been passed down from the Joseon Dynasty. Later, go to Bukchon Hanok Village. It is a well-preserved 600-year-old Korean traditional residential area in Seoul. The village is best known for its eight views of Bukchon. Afterwards, visit the N Seoul Tower (Photo stop). Next, you will visit one of Korea’s most representative spots- Namdaemun Market for shopping. Finally, you will visit the Trick Eye Museum before dinner. Return to the hotel. Day 09: SEOUL (B) After breakfast you are at leisure to explore Seoul on your own. Arrange your meals at your own expense. Accommodation: Sheraton Seoul Palace Hotel or similar

Day 10: SEOUL – HONG KONG (B) After breakfast, take the airport shuttle bus at your own expense (USD15/per person) to Incheon Airport (Buses will run for the flight departing time between 10:00 am. to 20:30 pm) to take your flight to Hong Kong. Day 12: HONG KONG (B) You are at leisure in the morning. In the afternoon, you will have a Hong Kong half day city tour including Victoria Peak, Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter and fishing village, Stanley Market and a jewellery shop. Day 13: HONG KONG – AUSTRALIA (B) You are free at leisure to do some last-minute shopping or continue exploring this exciting city on your own. In the afternoon, take a shuttle bus to airport for your flight homeward to Australia. Fly overnight.

Day 14: AUSTRALIA You arrive in Australia in the morning. Your unforgettable Taiwan, South Korea and Hong Kong tour ends.
